This collection focuses on 1.27mm (0.05-inch) male PCB pin headers for compact board interconnects, programming interfaces and test access. Pitch is the center-to-center contact spacing. A 1.27mm pitch label does not by itself prove compatibility with a JTAG, SWD, ISP or board-to-board interface. Row spacing, position count, pin dimensions, orientation, keying and pin assignment must also match.

How to Select
- Choose only the 1.27mm option on mixed-pitch listings.
- Select row layout, such as 1×N or 2×N. A 2×10 header has 20 total contacts.
- Choose straight through-hole, right-angle through-hole, vertical SMT or horizontal/right-angle SMT.
- Check exact pin count, body dimensions, row spacing and PCB footprint.
- Verify mating length, PCB-tail length and total pin length, especially for long-pin and board-spacer parts.
- On mixed male/female products, select the male pin-header option when required.
- Confirm package quantity; current listings include packs of 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 pieces depending on the option.
Through-Hole vs. SMT
Straight through-hole headers place the mating interface perpendicular to the PCB. Right-angle through-hole headers route it parallel to the board edge. SMT versions require the correct pad layout and lead orientation; vertical SMT and horizontal SMT footprints are not interchangeable. Fine pitch also increases sensitivity to placement accuracy and solder bridging.
Breakaway and Extended-Pin Headers
Some single- and dual-row strips are described as breakaway or cuttable. Do not assume every molded length can be separated cleanly. Extended-pin products use different overall and segment lengths for stacking or board spacing; compare the drawing rather than selecting by total length alone.
JTAG, SWD and ISP Compatibility
1.27mm dual-row headers are often used in compact debug and programming interfaces, but “JTAG,” “SWD” or “ISP” does not define one universal connector. Confirm the required contact count, key position, shroud requirement, orientation and signal pinout. An unshrouded 2×5 or 2×10 header may be mechanically and electrically different from a keyed box header with the same pitch.
Mixed and Out-of-Scope Listings
Two listings in this collection contain only 2.0mm/2.54mm round headers or 2.54mm DC3 box headers in their current options; they are not 1.27mm open pin headers. Other listings mix 1.27mm with 1.0mm, 2.0mm or 2.54mm. Specifications from those other pitches must not be applied to the 1.27mm variants.
Electrical, Material and Compliance Boundaries
No collection-wide current, voltage, contact resistance, insulation resistance, withstand voltage, temperature, plating thickness, brass composition, Nylon 6T, UL94, CE or RoHS statement is supported across every listing. Gold-colored or gold-plated wording also does not establish one common plating thickness.
Determine ratings from the exact selected part, mating connector, PCB footprint, loaded contact count, ambient temperature and assembly process. Validate samples before production or safety-critical use.
