What Are 142V and 142R Terminal Blocks?

These are fixed through-hole PCB terminal blocks that use a spring contact for conductor retention. They are not screw terminal blocks and are not pluggable male/female connectors.

142V: vertical or top-entry wire orientation
142R: right-angle or side-entry wire orientation
5.08mm: 0.2-inch center spacing

5.08mm vs. 7.62mm

5.08mm and 7.62mm have different center spacing and PCB footprints. They are not interchangeable. A larger pitch can allow more physical separation, but pitch alone does not establish voltage, current, conductor size, creepage or clearance ratings.

142V vs. 142R

142V supports access from above the board, while 142R supports access from a board edge or side. Their orientation affects PCB layout, assembly access and enclosure routing. Do not assume that vertical and right-angle versions share an identical complete footprint merely because their pitch and position count match.

Mixed-Family Boundaries

Both listings contain 141V and 141R 2.54mm variants. These have different center spacing and belong to the 141-series range. Select only options explicitly marked 142V or 142R at 5.08mm or 7.62mm.
