5.0mm vs. 5.08mm

5.0mm and 5.08mm are different pitches and should not be substituted on the same PCB. Measure the center-to-center spacing and verify the full footprint, including lead diameter, hole size, body width and clearance. 5.08mm equals 0.2 inch; 5.0mm does not.

Select fixed screw, spring clamp or through-wall pluggable construction.
Choose the required position count.
For spring blocks, select top-entry 142V or side-entry 142R to match the enclosure and PCB layout.
Confirm whether the listing supplies a single component, an assortment or a complete mating set.
Verify PCB footprint, wire range, strip length, ratings and required approvals for the selected part.

Mixed-Listing Boundaries

The KF128 listing also includes 2.54mm, 3.5mm, 3.81mm, 7.5mm and 7.62mm options. The spring-terminal listing also includes 2.54mm 141V and 141R variants. These are not 5.0mm or 5.08mm products and must not be treated as mechanically interchangeable. The assortment contains four different pitches, each with its own dimensions and stated ratings.

Fixed, Spring and Through-Wall Formats

Fixed screw blocks clamp wire directly in a PCB-mounted body. Spring blocks use a spring-cage connection and are offered in different entry directions. The through-wall product is a pluggable system intended to pass a connection through a panel or wall. These formats differ in footprint, wire termination, assembly and mating requirements even when the pitch is 5.08mm.

Electrical and Safety Limits

The source listings do not support a universal 24A rating. One mixed KF128 listing states 300V/10A; the assortment gives separate UL and IEC values for each pitch; the spring blocks state 300V/10A; and the through-wall listing provides no complete electrical specification in its description. CE and RoHS claims also vary. Do not calculate equipment power capacity from a headline current value. Validate the exact component, conductor, contact loading, PCB copper, creepage, clearance, enclosure and applicable safety standard.

Brand and Footprint Boundaries

KF128, 141V/141R, 142V/142R, KF2EDGWB and FFKDSA are identification terms from the listings. Similar names or pitch values do not prove original manufacture, approval or cross-brand footprint compatibility. Compare dimensional drawings before substitution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a 5.0mm part replace a 5.08mm part?
No. The pitch differs and the PCB holes will progressively misalign across multiple positions.

Are all four products screw terminal blocks?
No. One listing uses spring clamps, and another is a through-wall pluggable system.

No. Ratings vary, and several options state 10A rather than 24A.
