Arm Microcontrollers, Development Boards & Debug Tools

Arm microcontrollers, boards and development accessories

Compare individual microcontrollers, assembled development boards and supporting tools for embedded prototyping. This collection includes STM32F103, STM32F407, STM32F429, STM32H743/H750 and STM32WB55 listings alongside GD32, PY32, RP2040, nRF52840 and ATSAM3X8E options. A chip, a populated board and a programming accessory are different purchase choices: check the exact selected variant before ordering.

Choose by what you need to build

  • Bare MCU or module: match the precise part number, package, pin count, memory, supply and I/O requirements against your design and the individual listing. A family name alone does not establish pin, firmware or peripheral interchangeability.
  • Development board: verify the populated processor, board revision, connector layout, power input, exposed pins and included headers. RP2040-based Pico and Pico W are separate choices; likewise XIAO RP2040 and XIAO BLE use different processors and are not interchangeable just because the boards look similar.
  • Programming and debug: J-Link-style probes, downloaders and logic analyzers are tools, not MCU boards. Check target interface, connector, voltage and supported device/toolchain for the exact listing; a physical connector match does not prove debug compatibility.
  • Related platforms and accessories: STM32MP157 and Luckfox RV1106 Linux-capable boards, sensors, cases and other peripherals may appear here. Linux application-processor boards are not equivalent to Cortex-M microcontrollers. AVR MEGA2560 and ATmega328P Nano listings are AVR-based rather than Arm-based. Robot-arm kits can appear because their title contains “arm”; inspect the product, not the collection name, to identify the controller and kit contents.

Variant and package checklist

Read the chosen product option as the order specification. A listing may offer a bare IC, an unpopulated PCB, an assembled board, a case only, a downloader, or a bundle. Options may distinguish Pico from Pico W, XIAO RP2040 from XIAO BLE, USB connector style, soldered versus unsoldered headers, memory configuration, screen or camera inclusion, and unit or pack quantity. Several model names in a single title often represent alternatives, not a mixed assortment. Confirm the variant image and description, included parts and quantity before checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Is every item here a Cortex-M chip? No. The assortment also contains development boards, debug tools, Linux boards, accessories and some unrelated listings. Check the selected item's processor and contents.

Can I replace one STM32 or RP2040 board with another? Not without checking the exact device and board. Compare package or pinout, voltage domains, flash/RAM, clocks, peripheral mapping, boot/debug connections and firmware support against your project.

Does a board listing include a programmer, headers or enclosure? Only if the selected variant explicitly says so. Some options are accessories or bare PCBs rather than a complete assembled board.

How do I choose a debug probe? Match the target's debug protocol and pinout, voltage and the probe's stated device and software support. Do not assume a J-Link-style label establishes origin, licensing or universal support.
