ATmega328P Microcontrollers, Nano & Uno Development Boards
ATmega328P chips, development boards and project accessories
Shop the 8-bit AVR ATmega328P as a bare integrated circuit, a Nano-, Uno- or Pro Mini-style development board, or part of a selected learning or wireless project kit. This collection is broader than a single chip: listings also include ATmega328PB and ATmega168 alternatives, RF-Nano and LoRa boards, Uno plus ESP8266 combinations, prototype shields, cables, sockets and other accessories. Check the selected option rather than assuming every product or variant contains an ATmega328P.
Which format fits your design?
- Bare IC: ATMEGA328P-PU listings specify a through-hole DIP-28 format; ATMEGA328P-AU listings specify a surface-mount TQFP-32 format. ATMEGA328PB-AU is a different part number. Match the full suffix, physical footprint, pinout, clock and supply requirements, and confirm whether programming or a bootloader is included. A standalone IC does not include a USB interface, regulator, board or necessarily a programmed bootloader.
- Nano-style board: compare the installed MCU (328P, 328PB or 168P), USB-to-serial chip such as CH340 or FT232 where offered, Mini USB, Micro USB or USB-C socket, and soldered versus unsoldered headers. An expansion base, cable, shield or adapter offered in the same listing is not automatically a Nano board.
- Uno-style board: select by DIP or SMD MCU, USB interface, connector and included cable or case. An Uno plus WiFi option can combine an ATmega328P board with ESP8266 hardware, while an ESP32 or other processor option is not an ATmega328P substitute. The listing's “official” wording does not verify manufacturer origin.
- Pro Mini and integrated wireless: Pro Mini variants include 3.3 V/8 MHz and 5 V/16 MHz versions; check the exact board and required external programming interface. RF-Nano options may integrate nRF24L01-compatible radio hardware, while the listed LoRa nodes have separate 433, 868 or 915 MHz choices. Radio frequency and antenna inclusion are variant-specific; check regional rules and your existing system before selecting.
- Starter kits and accessories: RFID learning sets, prototype PCBs, headers, sockets, crystals, USB cables, Nano I/O shields and even active or passive buzzers appear among these products. A bare prototype shield is not a populated controller, and a kit's components depend on its selected package.
Order the exact variant
“Color” and “Model Number” often represent a processor, USB socket, board revision, header assembly, accessory-only choice, or pack quantity rather than a cosmetic color. Choose 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 or larger pack options only where that count is explicitly shown on the selected variant. Multiple processors or interfaces in a product title are commonly alternatives, not one mixed shipment. Verify the product description, selected variant and included parts before purchase.
Compatibility questions
Are ATmega328P, ATmega328PB and ATmega168 interchangeable? No blanket substitution is implied. Compare the device datasheets, footprint, pin functions, peripheral differences, memory, board wiring, bootloader and toolchain support. LGT8F328P, ESP8266 and ESP32 variants use different silicon.
Does USB-C mean a different voltage or USB protocol? No: the connector style alone does not establish MCU voltage, USB features or power-delivery support. Consult the particular board's specifications.
Can a Pro Mini be programmed with a USB cable alone? Confirm whether the selected board includes an onboard USB-to-serial interface. A typical Pro Mini-style board may require a compatible external adapter and correct voltage and pin mapping.
Will a shield fit my board? Check board dimensions, header pitch and placement, pin mapping, operating voltage and software requirements. Physical fit alone does not establish electrical or firmware compatibility.
