Audio Amplifier ICs, Audio Op Amps and Receiver Boards
Audio amplifier ICs, signal-path op amps and a Bluetooth receiver board
This collection brings together bare audio power-amplifier chips, operational amplifiers used in audio signal paths and a separate assembled Bluetooth audio receiver module. These are different stages of an audio system, not interchangeable forms of the same part. Select the actual product option and quantity before ordering: a ten-piece listing with five model choices ships the selected model, not ten of every model; a five-piece wireless receiver listing is a group of assembled boards, not five bare amplifier ICs.
For speaker power stages, listings include TDA2030/TDA2030A-family choices, TDA2003, TDA2040, TDA2050, LM1875T, TDA8954TH and MAX98357A. For analog signal conditioning, they include OPA2604AP, OPA828 and OPA2134PA options. The KCX_BT002 listing is a Bluetooth receiver PCB for supplying an audio signal to another suitable stage. Every family has its own input format, supply conditions, output capability, thermal design and package. Similar-sounding product titles and supplier category fields do not establish electrical compatibility.
Find the right component by its job in the signal chain
- Analog speaker power amplifier IC: TDA2030, TDA2030A, TDA2003, TDA2040, TDA2050 and LM1875T options are bare amplifier devices intended to be installed in a complete circuit with suitable supply, input network, load and heatsinking. Several listings call out TO-220-5 or ZIP-5 packaging. A five-lead outline alone does not prove matching pinout, tab potential, feedback network, voltage range or safe speaker impedance.
- TDA8954TH power-amplifier IC: multiple product pages offer TDA8954TH or TDA8954TH/N1, generally identified as HSOP-24 or HSOP24, including one-piece, three-piece, five-piece and ten-piece choices depending on the listing. This is a bare surface-mount audio power-stage component, not an assembled automotive amplifier. Claims such as “car audio,” “original” or a placeholder “international standard” supply voltage do not define an automotive qualification, provenance or operating limit. Confirm the precise part marking, package dimensions, land pattern and manufacturer's design documentation before PCB use.
- MAX98357AETE+T: one ten-piece listing describes an audio amplifier IC under MAX98357AETE+T/MAX98357AETE naming. It is a different class of part from an analog-input TDA2030-family chip: match the digital audio input, supply, speaker interface and exact package to the manufacturer's part data. Its seller “SOP” package field may be generic or contradictory, so do not design a PCB from that field alone. It is not a ready-to-use breakout board merely because other MAX98357A products elsewhere may be boards.
- Audio operational amplifiers: OPA2604AP and OPA2134PA listings are dual op amps offered as loose chips in specified pack quantities; OPA828 is a single JFET-input op amp with options labelled “OP AMP” and “IC chip,” and its source copy discusses an SMD-to-inline adapter. These low-level analog devices are for preamplification, buffering or other designed signal-path circuits. They cannot directly replace speaker power-amplifier ICs or drive a loudspeaker as a finished power stage. Whether an adapter is included with a given OPA828 option needs confirmation from that selected listing; do not infer it for both.
- Bluetooth audio receiver PCB: the KCX_BT002 listing specifies five Bluetooth 5.0 audio receiver modules, with a single “As Shown” option. It is described as a wireless audio source for amplifiers and speakers, not a bare power-amplifier IC or a complete speaker-driving amplifier. Check its actual power input, audio output type, wiring and supported profiles with the board documentation before integration. A supplier's “Type: IR” field conflicts with its Bluetooth receiver description and should not be interpreted as an infrared feature.
How the model and quantity options work
Two ten-piece TO-220-5 listings offer individual selections such as TDA2003, TDA2030, TDA2040, TDA2050 or LM1875T. Their shared headline lists available alternatives, not a mixed assortment. Another ten-piece product offers TDA2003A, TDA2030A or TDA2050A as separate variants. Model suffixes matter: the A-suffix and unsuffixed devices should be checked as distinct orderable parts rather than silently normalized. A listing headed “10PCS” does not turn a chosen TDA2030 variant into TDA2030A.
The TDA8954TH pages have different quantity structures. Some provide a default one-piece selection, some explicitly offer 1/3/5 pieces, and one offers 1/5/10 pieces. Confirm the chosen listing and variant rather than using the collection name as a pack-size promise. The OPA2134PA listing offers two-piece and five-piece options; the OPA2604AP page has a single named option. The OPA828 listing's “OP AMP” and “IC chip” are supplier option labels, not independently verified specifications for the supplied assembly. For repairs and production, ask for exact package and markings if a variant label is ambiguous.
Choose power amplifiers using the full circuit conditions
A speaker amplifier's advertised wattage has meaning only with the associated supply voltage, supply topology, loudspeaker impedance, distortion threshold, heat removal and test duration. None of these values should be borrowed from a different chip or seller listing in this mixed collection. A device that works with a split supply in one reference circuit may require different bias and output coupling in a single-supply board; a naked IC does not include that board's external parts. Consult the correct device manufacturer's data and a suitable application circuit rather than selecting supply rails from a generic field that says “international standard.”
For TO-220-style power devices, check lead functions, tab electrical connection, insulation method, mechanical mounting, heat sink and permissible thermal resistance. A metal tab may not be isolated; bolting two unrelated devices to one conductive heatsink without an appropriate design may cause a short. Confirm maximum voltage and current, recommended operating range, speaker impedance, layout and grounding from the exact device and circuit. A smaller impedance is not a free power upgrade: it increases output current and heat. Do not assume a bridged or parallel speaker connection is safe just because both chips are called audio amplifiers.
For HSOP-24 TDA8954TH, a surface-mount power package needs the correct footprint and heat-spreading layout; it is not a drop-in TO-220 substitute. The part name alone does not tell you that a controller, protection network, filter, input stage or complete car-audio system ships with it. For MAX98357AETE+T, distinguish its digital audio interface from the analog line-input power ICs: a conventional analog output cannot simply be wired to an I2S input, and a bare digital amplifier IC is not the same as a breakout with level shifting or terminals. Verify the exact suffix/package against the matching technical documentation.
Choose an op amp using the input and feedback design
Audio op amps operate at signal level and may be used in filters, preamplifiers or buffer stages. Check single versus dual channel, package, pinout, supply rails, input common-mode range, output swing, stability at your closed-loop gain and capacitive load, input bias requirements and decoupling. OPA828 is described as a single JFET-input op amp; OPA2604AP and OPA2134PA are described as dual op amps. A single-channel adapter cannot automatically replace a dual-channel eight-pin op amp even if both are advertised for hi-fi use.
The OPA828 source description quotes example precision and noise figures and a ±4 V to ±18 V operating range, but these belong to that specific model and its stated conditions, not all parts in this collection. It explicitly warns that OPA828 is not AD828. Its subjective claims that one chip “sounds more transparent” than another are not a controlled, transferable performance specification. Select by circuit requirements and official data, not a universal sound-quality ranking. If an adapter or DIP socket is involved, verify its orientation, supply decoupling, height and footprint clearance before insertion.
Engineering checklist before ordering
- Identify the deliverable: bare IC, assembled Bluetooth receiver PCB or a possible op-amp adapter. No speaker, enclosure, amplifier PCB, power supply or heatsink should be assumed unless the particular listing expressly includes it.
- Read the selected variant: record exact base model, suffix and piece count. Shared titles enumerate alternative chips; they do not establish that all named chips are in the parcel.
- Check the mechanical format: TO-220-5/ZIP-5, HSOP-24, a small MAX98357A package, DIP-style op amp and a receiver board require very different assembly methods. Compare a real manufacturer's drawing and measured board footprint where a supplier's category field conflicts with the title.
- Match the signal interface: analog audio into the TDA-family circuit, digital audio into a compatible MAX98357A design, low-level analog signals into the chosen op amp, or a wireless signal into a Bluetooth receiver. The receiver's audio output still needs an appropriately matched downstream stage.
- Validate supplies and loading: voltage polarity, rail arrangement, current capacity, speaker load, decoupling, grounding and thermal design must be correct for the actual circuit, not for the collection as a whole.
- For repairs, verify more than the outline: trace pin functions, heatsink/tab arrangement, failed external components and the underlying cause of the original fault. Similar TDA numbers, “original” headlines and generic seller “Type: Voltage Regulator” fields do not prove a drop-in substitution.
Common questions
Is every item a speaker amplifier? No. The Bluetooth PCB receives audio, and the OPA-series chips serve low-level analog stages. A power-amplifier chip itself also requires a properly designed circuit to drive a speaker.
Does a ten-piece TDA listing include all listed models? No. In the multi-model listings, choose the desired model variant; the headline names options. Read the selected option for the actual model and verify its count.
Can I replace TDA2030 with TDA2050, LM1875T or TDA8954TH? Not from the model name or shared collection alone. Check pinout, package, supply topology, compensation, current, speaker load and thermal requirements against the specific circuit. TDA8954TH has a particularly different surface-mount format.
Are “original,” “100% tested” and “automotive” guaranteed? No. They appear in seller-supplied product titles or generic descriptions, but are not evidence of authorized semiconductor origin, individual testing or automotive qualification. Request appropriate traceability and documentation when these properties are required.
Will the receiver board drive a passive loudspeaker on its own? The listing describes a Bluetooth audio receiver, not a verified speaker power output. Confirm the board's outputs and connect them only to an appropriate designed amplification stage.
Component model numbers identify candidate devices for technical comparison. No universal output-power, authenticity, safety-certification or cross-family compatibility claim applies to every product in this collection.
