BC327 PNP Transistors and Mixed Transistor Kits
Compare BC327 PNP bipolar transistor selections and TO-92 mixed transistor assortments. A few multi-model pages offer BC327, BC327-25 or BC327-40 as a selected single-model pack; many other listings are NPN/PNP kits that include BC327 alongside other devices. Choose the actual variant and inspect its packing list: not every product or kit option in this collection supplies BC327.
Single-model BC327 choices
- A TO-92 menu offers a 100-piece choice labeled BC327 and a separate BC327-40 choice, next to BC337-25 and BC337-40 NPN options. Other shared menus offer BC327-25 or BC327-40 within a 50-piece model-selection listing, and separate 50- or 100-piece BC327 selections.
- BC327-25 and BC327-40 identify gain-group selections, not “25 pieces” or “40 pieces.” The leading pack count and the selected suffix answer different questions. Compare the exact device marking and the selected manufacturer's datasheet rather than assuming all BC327 suffixes behave identically.
- Some seller metadata on these pages says “Voltage Regulator” despite selectable BC-series transistors; that generic classification is not an electrical specification for BC327. Confirm the selected part and package before purchase.
Mixed sets and complementary devices
- 10-value TO-92 packs: listings offer 100 pieces (commonly 10 of each model) or 200 pieces (commonly 20 of each), with mixes such as BC327, BC337, 2N2222, 2N2907, 2N3904, 2N3906, S8050, S8550, A1015 and C1815. A different 10-value set lists BC327 with BC337, BC517, BC547–BC550 and BC556–BC558. The model list is specific to the chosen product or kit option.
- Larger assortments: selected configurations are labeled 24 values / 480 pieces, 24 values / 840 pieces, 15 values / 600 pieces or 18 values / 900 pieces. Other listings offer 1BOX or 3BOX, or a box-versus-no-box choice. Do not infer the quantity of BC327 from the total box count; check the selected configuration's model-by-model breakdown.
- Other variant families: the shared menus also contain BC337 (NPN), BC557 and BC558 (other PNP models), BC517 (Darlington), and some kits or menus offering TL431A voltage reference, 2N7000 MOSFET, or MJE13001. Some named kit variants emphasize S8050/MJE13001 or other sets and may not include BC327. A complementary BC327/BC337 grouping is not a guarantee of gain matching.
How to select
- Choose the full BC327 part number and gain group needed by your design. BC327 is PNP; BC337 is NPN and is not a direct replacement.
- Confirm the selected package, pin assignment, PCB footprint, collector-emitter voltage, collector current, gain at the operating point, saturation behavior and dissipation under the intended thermal conditions against the actual manufacturer's datasheet. Shared titles do not establish identical ratings across variants.
- Decide between one-model stock and an assortment. Option labels such as “Color” or “Voltage” can represent a transistor model, kit type or piece count rather than a color or voltage rating. Verify counts per type and whether a box is supplied.
- Where a listing's count, package description or model list conflicts with its selected option, treat those details as unconfirmed and check the seller's exact packing list before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between BC327-25 and BC327-40?
They are differently designated gain-group selections. Compare their manufacturer-specific gain ranges at the relevant test conditions; the suffix is not the pack quantity.
Does a 200-piece BC327 kit contain 200 BC327 transistors?
No if it is a 10-value assortment. A kit listed as 20 pieces of each of 10 models includes BC327 as one of the models; a single-model 200-piece option would need to be identified separately.
Can BC337 replace BC327?
No. BC337 is an NPN BJT and BC327 is PNP. Check the circuit requirements and both datasheets rather than assuming complementary parts can be exchanged.
Do all the larger assortment variants include BC327?
Do not assume so. Shared pages have multiple kit families; verify the chosen option's detailed model list and per-model count.
