Datalogic USB RS232 & PS/2 Scanner Cables

Interface cables and power options for selected Datalogic scanners

This collection contains three third-party product listings for selected Datalogic and PSC barcode scanners: USB and RS232 cables, PS/2 keyboard-wedge cables, and separately selectable 12V power supplies for Magellan 3200VS/3200VSi equipment. It does not currently include charging cradles, batteries, holsters, mobile-computer accessories or a complete Datalogic cable range.

Products in this collection

Magellan 3200VS/3200VSi: selectable 2m straight USB cable, RS232 serial cable, or a separate 12V power-supply option with US, EU, UK or AU mains plug. The listing states that the USB cable requires a power supply to operate; cable and power-supply variants are separate selections.
PS/2 keyboard-wedge cable: selectable 2m or 5m cable for the specific models named on the product page, including QD2130, QW2100, QW2110, QM2130, GD4130, GD4430 and listed D100/D130/D432 references.
PD7100/7000/1100i/800i: 2m USB or RS232 cable variants. The USB cable for 800i is a separate option from the USB cable listed for 7100, 7000 and 1100i; the RS232 option has its own interface and DB9 host connection.

How to choose the correct cable or power option

Read the exact scanner model: use the complete model from the device label. Similar Magellan, QuickScan, Gryphon or PowerScan names do not prove shared cable compatibility.
Select the required host interface: USB, RS232 DB9 and PS/2 keyboard wedge are different electrical and communication formats.
Choose the model-specific USB variant: for the mixed PD7100/7000/1100i/800i listing, the 800i USB option is explicitly separate from the USB option for 7100, 7000 and 1100i.
Verify the scanner-side connector and pinout: a modular connector that looks alike can use different contacts, latching, power assignments or wiring.
Check cable length: the PS/2 listing offers 2m and 5m; the other current cable listings are described as 2m.
Confirm external power: the Magellan 3200VS listing states that its USB cable needs a power supply. Select the correct regional mains plug and verify 12V output requirements against the scanner label and manual.

Interface and power boundaries

A USB cable does not convert an RS232 scanner automatically, and an RS232 cable does not provide USB communication. PS/2 keyboard-wedge operation is a third configuration. Changing interfaces can require model-specific scanner programming, host settings or external power.

The Magellan power-supply variants are separate products, not proof that every Datalogic scanner in this collection uses 12V or the same DC connector. Do not apply that voltage to another model without checking its documentation.

Compatibility and brand boundaries

Several listings identify E-Simpo as the cable manufacturer and state that the products are not made by PSC. Yoeruyo sells them as third-party replacement products. Datalogic, PSC and model references identify intended equipment; they do not establish original-equipment status or full equivalence to Datalogic CAB-426, CAB-434, CAB-412 or any other cable number unless the individual product explicitly provides verifiable matching information.

The current products do not support claims covering all Gryphon, Heron, Magellan, PowerScan, Memor, Falcon or Skorpio devices. Compatibility must be checked at product level by exact model, interface, connector, pinout, cable length and power arrangement.
