DSP ICs, Audio Processing Boards & Components
DSP ICs and signal-processing hardware: identify the actual item first
This is a broad collection of semiconductor devices, populated processor boards, audio-processing modules and related electronic parts. It also includes many loudspeaker drivers, voice-recording modules, finished car and professional audio products, control relays and RC servos. Not every item here contains a standalone digital signal processor IC. Choose by the selected product and variant, not by the words DSP in a collection name, an unrelated brand name, a compatibility tag or an amplifier headline. A loose surface-mount chip, a core board, a JTAG probe and a finished amplifier solve different engineering problems and are not interchangeable.
Loose processor and controller ICs
Listings include DSPB56362AG120 and DSPB56362PV120 QFP-144 alternatives, TMS320C6745DPTP3/DPTP4 LQFP-176 alternatives, TMS320LF2407APGEA QFP-144, TMS320F28027PTT, an ADAU1701JSTZ QFP-48 versus ADM1069ASTZ QFP-32 selector, and DSPIC33EP64MC204-I/PT in a five-piece 44-TQFP listing. The dsPIC33EP64MC204 is a 16-bit microcontroller with DSP-oriented instructions, not a substitute for a C674x DSP. An ADM1069 monitoring IC selected on an ADAU-labeled page is not an audio DSP. A listing also calls TMS34010FNL-50/-40 a DSP or Arm microprocessor; that classification should not be used as proof of an Arm core or modern audio-DSP compatibility. Confirm its actual architecture and complete ordering code from the manufacturer before design-in.
For a loose IC, record the entire suffix, package, pin count, quantity and condition. In the DSPB56362 listing, selections explicitly separate AG120 from PV120 and one, five or ten pieces; those are alternatives, not a mixed assortment. TMS320C6745 P3/P4 suffixes likewise identify separate selections. Check manufacturer pinout, voltage rails, memory, clock, boot configuration, temperature grade, errata and lifecycle. Supplier words such as “original,” “new” or “in stock” are not independent evidence of authenticity, date code, traceability or guaranteed supply.
Core boards, development boards and debug interfaces
TMS320C6748 core and industrial development boards target C674x fixed-/floating-point applications such as audio, image or camera-processing prototypes. A core board and a larger development board may expose different connectors, power and I/O; they are not loose C6748 chips. F28335 and F2802/F2808 minimum-system boards target control-oriented C2000 devices, not drop-in replacements for C6748. PI035-series selectors name different F28035/F280049/F280025-associated boards and an operation panel; selecting one does not provide the entire range. Verify the actual fitted silicon, PCB revision, oscillator, memory, supply, logic levels, JTAG header, ADC front-end, schematic and pin breakout rather than importing every capability in a chip datasheet into an unspecified board.
XDS100V2, XDS100V3, XDS510PP, T23C and similar JTAG emulator listings are development tools rather than DSP chips or populated target boards. Parallel-port and USB host requirements differ. Claims about support for TI targets, Code Composer Studio versions, operating systems or isolation depend on the exact probe, driver, firmware and selected isolation option. Match connector and target-voltage specifications before ordering. A generic TMS320 development-board title alone does not identify which device is installed.
Other embedded choices include a T113-i ECK30 core-board listing with variants for different boards, standalone 720 × 1280 or 1080 × 1920 screens and a ten-piece connector option. These do not all include a Linux-capable board. AD7616 and AD9226 acquisition boards are ADC interfaces for DSP/FPGA projects, not DSP processors themselves; compare sampling mode, resolution, interface, reference and host timing. An MS3625 I2S microphone module is an input peripheral, not a processor. A relay board marked as compatible with DSP, ARM or Arduino is a switching accessory, not a DSP IC.
Audio DSP modules, amplifiers and finished equipment
ADAU1452 and ADAU1701/ADAU1401 learning, crossover and feedback-suppression boards offer audio-processing platforms distinct from TI TMS320. On ADAU1452/CS42448/AD1938 pages a selection can mean a DSP board, a CODEC-only item, a combined board or a configuration with USBi programming hardware. Confirm the exact selected contents, analog I/O, converter fit, sample-rate support, power supply and programming method. A CODEC converts audio signals but is not itself a complete programmable DSP development system. BP1048/BP1048B2 Bluetooth tuning/EQ modules and TAS5805 or TPA3255-based amplifier boards have their own audio signal paths and power stages; a headline mentioning DSP does not establish the chip's model, user-accessible firmware or software compatibility.
Professional 2-in/4-out, 4-in/8-out and other speaker-management processors, reverb/effects devices and feedback suppressors are finished signal-processing units. Compare physical analog/digital inputs, routing, crossover slopes, delay, equalizer bands, limiter, control software and sample-rate behavior against the chosen model. A “4 in 8 out” processing claim describes signal channels, not eight powered speaker outputs. A car DSP amplifier can have speaker-level power outputs plus separate RCA or other line-level outputs; neither should be counted as an additional powered channel. For car units, check actual harness/vehicle year and trim, factory amplified/JBL systems, connector pinout, input signal level, supply and mounting space. PUZU PZ-C7 harness variants are vehicle-specific; some PZ-X6800S listings describe the host without harness and remote. Do not infer universal plug-and-play fit from an Android-radio label. Compare RMS values at a stated impedance, supply and distortion; MAX or peak figures are not continuous RMS ratings.
Products in the collection that are not DSP ICs
- Loudspeaker drivers and parts: full-range drivers, woofers, tweeters, bone-conduction exciters, portable Bluetooth speakers, 4-pin Speakon sockets, binding posts, passive crossover networks and polypropylene crossover capacitors. A driver sold as 4 Ω or 8 Ω is a mechanical/electrical transducer, not a processor. “Color” or size choices may select impedance, frame shape or quantity. Check rated versus peak power, sensitivity, mounting cutout, Thiele–Small parameters and crossover design for the actual unit; do not use a headline wattage alone to size an amplifier.
- Buzzers and recording modules: piezo ceramic discs, magnetic SMD active/passive buzzers, mini speakers and ISD1820 microphone/record-playback boards. A piezo disc is an element, an active buzzer includes its own oscillation circuit while a passive buzzer needs an appropriate drive waveform, and an ISD1820 board records and replays speech. None is automatically a programmable audio DSP. Select diameter, voltage, active/passive type, wired versus unwired version and 1/2/5/10/20/50/100-piece pack deliberately. A heading mentioning a loudspeaker does not guarantee a separate speaker is supplied in every variant.
- Control and hobby equipment: Samwha-Dsp meters, phase monitors, voltage/current protection devices, timers and overload relays use DSP as part of a supplier name; they are not processor IC inventory. DSPOWER-branded 2 g to 70 kg-class RC servos likewise are actuator products, with gear material, control voltage, connector, rotation and quantity options. A DSP stepper-driver or closed-loop motor kit is a motion-control product, not a loose semiconductor. Determine exact rated operating parameters from the selected item's technical documents; avoid transferring ratings between unrelated models.
- Miscellaneous repair and installation parts: phone speakers, vehicle tweeters, wireless charging coils, microphone capsules, cables, crossovers and CNC accessories may appear due to broad catalog terms. Confirm dimensions, vehicle/device fit and supplied subassembly before purchasing.
Engineering selection checklist
- Decide the level of integration: loose IC for PCB assembly, populated core/evaluation board for prototyping, ADC/CODEC/microphone peripheral, emulator for debugging, or finished audio/control unit. Each needs different complementary hardware.
- Read the selected option literally: a value labeled Color may encode processor model, board, screen, impedance, connector, shipping origin or pack quantity. Multiple models in a title do not establish a mixed kit. Confirm whether an accessory-only or codec-only choice is selected.
- Validate the signal chain: identify analog versus I2S/digital inputs, converter channels, processing paths and speaker-level versus line-level outputs. For ICs verify clock, voltage, package and software chain; for audio equipment verify gain, connectors and true powered-output count.
- Check documentation and provenance: use the exact manufacturer orderable code, schematic, datasheet, errata and support matrix. Treat upstream certification, origin, performance and authenticity claims as unverified unless supported by the relevant documentation for that specific item.
Frequently asked questions
Does every product in this DSP IC collection contain a DSP chip? No. The current catalog also contains speaker drivers, ISD1820 voice modules, Samwha-Dsp controls, DSPOWER servos, car audio hardware and passive components. Read the individual product and selected variant.
Is a dsPIC33EP64MC204 the same as a TMS320C6748? No. They belong to different MCU/DSP families with different toolchains, peripherals, memory models and packages; no drop-in replacement is implied.
Does an XDS100 listing include a C6748 or F28335 target? Not by virtue of its title. An emulator connects to a compatible target; check the selected bundle contents and target support.
Can I order an ADAU1452 board without programming hardware? Some listings distinguish DSP, CODEC and USBi-equipped choices. Verify the variant and supplied interface before ordering; photos may show other configurations.
Are 8-channel car DSP outputs eight amplifier channels? Not necessarily. Processing, RCA/preamp and powered speaker outputs are different measurements. Check the exact model's output block diagram and continuous power specification.
Is a Samwha-Dsp overload relay a signal-processing IC? No. “DSP” here occurs in the supplier name; select such controls on their protection function, sensing arrangement and stated voltage/current ratings.
Will a 4 Ω and an 8 Ω loudspeaker behave the same with my amplifier? No. Impedance affects load and output; verify amplifier-supported load, continuous power, enclosure and crossover suitability for the selected driver.
This guide describes the mixed range presently grouped here without changing its membership. It does not guarantee chipset authenticity, compatibility, certifications, car fit, software support or accessories. The exact selected variant and current manufacturer documentation govern a technical purchase.
