ESD Devices, TVS Arrays and Protected Modules
ESD devices for board-level and interface protection
Browse discrete ESD diodes and TVS arrays alongside communication and RF modules that advertise ESD protection as one feature. A component designed for a PCB footprint is not the same product as a complete RS485 hub, USB converter, CAN board or wireless module. Use the exact selected model and its documentation for compatibility decisions.
Understand the device choices
- Single-line and multi-line protectors: Selected listings include USBLC6-2, TPD1E/TPD2E/TPD4E, PESD, ESD9, SMF05, SR05, SD05/SD12 and other suppressors. They differ in protected channel count, stand-off voltage, polarity, capacitance, clamping behavior and pinout. Do not infer these parameters solely from the collection name.
- Model-specific options: PESD series variants offer separately labeled 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V or 24V models; SD05 and SD12 are separate choices. SMF13A through SMF17CA and ESD9 variants likewise represent different specifications. A product title listing multiple codes does not mean every code is in one pack.
- Package and pack size: Listed formats span SOD-323/523/923, SOT-23/363/666, SON, DFN and SMB. Quantity choices vary from small packs to larger lots. Fields labeled Color, Model Number or Ships From may identify a model, quantity or fulfillment choice rather than a technical color.
- Protected modules: RS485/422 USB converters, E810-R hubs, SN65HVD230 CAN boards, TXB0104 level-shifter boards, E22P radio and P201Pro/P203Pro SDR modules are assemblies with their own protocols, power inputs and variants. Their advertised port protection is not a standalone diode specification. Check documentation for the selected version; one CAN board's headline and package details even disagree on quantity.
How to select
For loose devices, compare the exact part number's reverse working voltage, breakdown and clamping conditions, junction capacitance, leakage, polarity, number of lines and mechanical drawing with your signal levels and protected IC. For an assembly, compare its supply, communications interface, isolation arrangement and documented port-protection tests. Seller claims about ESD test levels, certifications or originality are not verified guarantees for every product in this collection.
Frequently asked questions
Are all ESD devices here loose diodes? No. Some listings are complete converter, hub, CAN, level-shifter, radio or SDR products that mention protection.
Can I swap two parts that both say 5V? Not without checking polarity, pinout, capacitance, stand-off and clamping behavior for each exact code.
Does a multi-model title indicate a mixed assortment? Not necessarily. The selected variant usually identifies one part number or package quantity.
Does an advertised kV rating apply to every item? No. Confirm the test method and result in documentation for the specific part or module.
