Full-Wave Bridge Rectifiers & Rectifier Modules

Full-wave bridge rectifiers and related components

A four-diode, single-phase bridge rectifies both halves of an AC waveform into a pulsating DC output. This collection includes compact SMD and through-hole bridge packages, larger square bridges, rectifier modules and selected boards or generator parts. Not every listing is a complete four-diode single-phase bridge: check the selected item before ordering.

What you can choose

  • Small bridges: DB, ABS, MB, GBP, KBP, KBL, KBU and GBU families appear in surface-mount and through-hole formats. Check terminal order, footprint, package and the selected part number; an SMD option is not a mechanical substitute for a DIP-4 device.
  • Higher-current bridges: KBPC and GBPC square bodies, GBJ packages and QL or SKB modules offer different mounting and heat-removal arrangements. Confirm the selected model's voltage and current ratings under the intended thermal conditions, rather than applying a headline specification to every variant.
  • Three-phase and assembled items: SQL and MDS three-phase modules have a different terminal arrangement from single-phase four-terminal bridges. A 1N4007-based rectifier/filter board is an assembled circuit rather than a loose bridge. Generator RSK and LSA listings may supply a rectifier assembly, a wheel plate, individual diodes or a varistor depending on the option.
  • Accessories and discrete diodes: Some HS-series choices are heatsinks only. SR540, SR560, SR5100 and SR5200 choices are individual Schottky rectifier diodes, not complete bridges. A mixed assortment, a single-model pack and a model-choice listing have different contents.

Selection checklist

Compare the exact selected option's phase count, terminal diagram, repetitive reverse-voltage rating, rectified current, forward loss, surge rating, package dimensions, heatsink requirements and quantity with your design and the applicable datasheet. Product titles and supplier fields can conflict on voltage, current, phase or package. Option labels such as “Color” can instead encode a model, quantity, kit part or accessory; they are not a promise that every part named in the title is included.

Frequently asked questions

Does “full wave” mean every item is a single-phase bridge? No. This collection also contains three-phase modules, assembled boards, generator parts and non-bridge options. Identify the circuit and terminals of the selected variant.

Does a model list in the title mean a mixed kit? Not necessarily. Most model menus supply the chosen model and pack quantity; only a specifically described assortment supplies multiple values.

Can a Schottky diode or heatsink replace a bridge? No. The former is an individual diode and the latter is a thermal accessory. Neither alone has the function of a complete four-diode bridge.

Does a rectifier board guarantee smooth DC? No. Output behavior depends on the specific board, filtering components, load and AC source. Refer to that board's documented limits rather than assuming one common output for the collection.
