Honeywell HHP USB RS232 & PS/2 Scanner Cables

Replacement interface cables for selected Honeywell and HHP barcode scanners

This collection is centered on third-party USB, RS232 serial and PS/2 keyboard-wedge cables for selected Honeywell and legacy HHP barcode scanners. The current Honeywell/HHP range includes straight USB cables, straight and coiled DB9 RS232 cables, and one multi-option listing for IT3800LTP, IT3800LR and 4410HD scanners.

There are no charging cradles, batteries or standalone power adapters in the current collection. Two mixed listings belong to other scanner families, CINO F680/F780 and Newland HR models, and are identified separately below rather than treated as Honeywell-compatible products.

Honeywell and HHP cable range

• CBL-500 USB data cable: straight USB replacement cable with selectable 2m or 3m length. The listing references CBL-500-200-S00 and CBL-500-300-S00 and names selected 1200G, 1202G, 1250G, 1250GAP, 1300G, 1400G, 1450G, 1470G, 1500G, 1900GHD, 1900GSR, 1902GHD, 1902GSR, 7580, 1910I and MK7580 models.
• 3m RS232 DB9 cable: one straight serial cable for specific models listed on its product page, including selected 1200G/1202G, 1250G/1250GAP, 1300G, 1400G, 1500G, 1900G and 1902G variants, plus MS7580G.
• 5m coiled RS232 DB9 cable: a two-piece pack for the selected scanner models stated on the listing. It is an RS232 cable, not USB or PS/2.
• IT3800 and 4410HD interface cables: 2m selectable variants for PS/2 keyboard wedge, a USB cable with conversion electronics, or RS232 serial. Each option has a different interface function.

Mixed products in this collection

• CINO F680/F780: a two-piece pack of straight 2m USB scanner cables. This product is not a Honeywell/HHP cable.
• Newland HR series: a two-piece pack of straight 2m cables with USB or RS232 variants for models named on the listing, including HR1030, HR200, HR15Z, NLS-HR100, OY20 and FR40. These options are not Honeywell/HHP compatible merely because they share USB or RS232 host interfaces.

How to choose the correct scanner cable

1. Match the complete scanner model and suffix: 1900GHD, 1900GSR, 1902GHD and 1902GSR are distinct references. Do not rely on “1900 series” alone.
2. Select the host interface: USB, RS232 DB9 and PS/2 keyboard wedge are different electrical and protocol configurations.
3. Compare the cable reference: where available, match references such as CBL-500-200-S00 or CBL-500-300-S00 to the old cable or scanner documentation.
4. Verify the scanner-side connector: modular connectors that look alike can use different contact counts, latch geometry and pin assignments.
5. Check length, form and pack quantity: available products include 2m or 3m straight USB, 3m straight RS232, a 5m coiled RS232 two-pack, and 2m interface variants.
6. Confirm power and setup: an RS232 installation may require external scanner power, but no standalone adapter is included in the current listings. Changing interfaces can also require scanner programming.

Interface differences

USB cables connect to a USB host, but the scanner must support the required USB mode. RS232 cables terminate in a serial DB9 host connection and can have separate power requirements. PS/2 keyboard-wedge cables are intended for keyboard-path installations. The USB-with-chip option in the IT3800/4410HD listing contains conversion electronics and must not be described as a passive plug adapter.

Brand and compatibility boundaries

The product descriptions identify E-Simpo as the manufacturer of several cables and explicitly state that they are not made by Honeywell or HHP. Yoeruyo sells them as third-party replacement products. Honeywell, HHP, Xenon, Voyager and Hyperion names identify intended equipment; they do not establish original-equipment status or universal compatibility.

A shared brand, connector shape or host interface does not prove that one cable works across all Honeywell scanners. Match the exact model, connector, cable reference, pinout, power arrangement and required scanner settings. Certification statements shown on an individual product should not be applied to every cable in this collection.

Does this collection include scanner cradles or power adapters?

No. The current products are cables. Some source descriptions discuss separately sourced RS232 power adapters, but no adapter or cradle is a purchasable product in this collection.

Can the CBL-500 USB cable replace an RS232 cable?

No. It is listed as a USB replacement cable. Choose an RS232 DB9 product when the host and scanner configuration require serial communication.

Are the PS/2, USB-with-chip and RS232 options interchangeable?

No. They represent different interfaces and can require different scanner programming and power arrangements.

Will any cable fit every 1900 or 1902 scanner?

No. Check the complete scanner suffix, the product’s model list, the old cable reference and the required host interface.

Are the CINO and Newland cables Honeywell-compatible?

No such compatibility is established. They are mixed listings for different scanner models and should be selected only for the devices named on their own product pages.
