N-Channel SMD MOSFETs and Selectable FET Models
Compare N-channel surface-mount MOSFET options for compact switching and power designs. Listings include 2N7002, BSS138, SI2302, AO3400, AO3402 and CJ-series SOT-23 choices, plus larger TO-252/DPAK, TO-263, SOP-8 and DFN packages. Check the selected variant: several pages offer different model numbers or quantities under generic “Color,” “Voltage” or “Model Number” option labels. A title listing multiple parts generally does not promise a mixed assortment.
Package and device choices
- Small-outline SMD: SOT-23 pages offer 2N7002/2N7002K, BSS138, AO3400/AO3402, SI2302 and CJ2302/CJ3400 among other model choices. One 2N7002 page offers 50, 500 or 3,000 pieces (full reel), with 702 or 7002 marking choices; its generic “through-hole” package metadata conflicts with its SOT-23 title, so confirm footprint and marking before ordering. SOT-363 2N7002KDW and SOT-143 BF998 are distinct multi-lead configurations, not drop-in SOT-23 alternatives.
- Power SMD: TO-252 selections include AOD442/AOD444/AOD484, FQD50N06 and NTD5865NL; TO-263 listings include FDB8860, FDB3632, IRLZ44NS and 2SK3210. DFN/QFN options include AON7240, AON7408, AON6354 and other individually selected models. SOP-8 listings include AO9926B dual N-channel devices and NCE3018AS; verify single-versus-dual configuration, footprint and thermal pad before selecting.
- Multi-value kits: an eight-value, 80-piece IRLML SOT-23 kit offers both N- and P-channel types. This is different from a 50-piece page where “Color” selects one model. Consult the kit's per-value list rather than assuming every item in this collection is one N-channel MOSFET.
Important exceptions and conflicting listings
Some shared choices are P-channel (including AO3401, AO3407, AONS21357/AONR21357, AOD409 and NCE3415), and AO46-series pages describe N+P combinations. MJD122 is a Darlington bipolar transistor, not a MOSFET. EL827 is an optocoupler and ULN2001 is a driver IC. Some through-hole TO-220/TO-220F, TO-247 and TO-3P products also appear here, so “SMD” in the collection name does not describe every product. The HY4903B TO-263 listing explicitly says used and not new; do not interpret it as a new component. STP15810's listing conflicts between TO-220 and TO-220F and labels it SMD elsewhere. A RU3060L option says “DIP8” despite its TO-252 title. The PBSS4540Z and IRF5305/IRF5210 pages have potentially conflicting device-type labels; verify those exact part numbers and datasheets rather than assuming N-channel MOSFET identity from the shared title.
How to select
- Confirm the chosen full model number, polarity, single/dual configuration, quantity and condition; do not infer a certification or new/original status from broad seller wording.
- Match the selected device datasheet's VDS, continuous current under actual thermal conditions, RDS(on) at the available gate drive, gate charge, dissipation and safe operating area to your application. A headline rating from another option is not shared by all variants.
- Check footprint, pin assignment and exposed pad or tab connection. SOT-23, SOT-363, TO-252, TO-263, DFN and SOP-8 packages are not physically interchangeable.
- Where title, option, marking, quantity or package metadata disagrees, clarify the exact selected item before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Are all listings here new N-channel SMD MOSFETs?
No. The collection includes P-channel or N+P choices, through-hole parts, other device types and a listing expressly marked used.
Does “50pcs CJ2310 2N7002 BSS138” mean a mixed bag?
Not necessarily. Its “Color” selector chooses a model; confirm the selected model and stated pack count. The explicitly described 80-piece IRLML kit is a separate multi-value offering.
Can I identify a MOSFET from its top marking alone?
No. Match the full selected part number, manufacturer's marking guidance and package to the corresponding datasheet; shared top codes can be ambiguous.
Does a high headline current mean the same current is available on my board?
No. Current and on-resistance figures depend on gate drive, temperature, mounting and test conditions. Design using the exact part's datasheet and your thermal conditions.
