N-Channel MOSFETs, Power FETs and Selectable Models
Explore N-channel MOSFET options for small-signal switching, surface-mount power designs, through-hole power stages and specialist RF applications. The product pages span 2N7000, 2N7002, BS170, BSS138, SI2300, AO3400, IRF-series, AOD-series and other selectable part numbers. Choose the exact variant: a page naming several parts usually offers a choice of one model and quantity, not an assortment of every model in its title. Some shared pages also offer P-channel MOSFETs, JFETs, a Darlington transistor, battery-protection parts or assembled switch modules, so not every option here is a discrete N-channel MOSFET.
Choose by component and package
- Small-signal parts: 2N7000 and BS170 are offered in TO-92; 2N7002, BSS138, SI2300 and AO3400 families appear in SOT-23 selections. A 2N7002 page distinguishes 702 and 7002 markings and 50-piece, 500-piece and 3,000-piece full-reel choices. Its “Voltage” selector represents quantity, not a voltage rating; its generic through-hole package text conflicts with the SOT-23 title, so confirm the selected footprint.
- Power packages: TO-220/TO-220F, TO-247 and TO-3P through-hole choices coexist with TO-252/DPAK, TO-263, SOT-223, SOP-8 and DFN/QFN-style surface-mount options. IRFZ44N, IRF540N, IRFP460, IRFB4110, IRLR7843, AOD4184A and SPW20N60C3 are examples of separate model choices, not equivalent replacements. Some TO-220F model menus include distinct 2N60, 5N60, 7N65 and 20N60 selections.
- Special configurations: BF998 is a double-gate RF MOSFET in SOT-143; MRF-series listings target RF power applications. FR120N, LR7843 and D4184 pages offer module or board configurations; check whether the chosen SKU is an assembled module rather than a bare transistor. A battery-protection listing mentions DW01+ and 8205A: confirm exactly what is included, as a protection IC and dual MOSFET are not a single interchangeable device.
Important shared-page boundaries
Multi-model SOT-23 menus contain P-channel choices such as AO3401, AO3407 and BSS84 alongside N-channel selections. Larger IRF and TO-252 menus likewise include P-channel choices such as IRF4905, IRF9540N or AOD409. BF245A, J310 and 2N5457 selections are JFETs, not enhancement-mode MOSFETs; MJD122 is a Darlington bipolar transistor. A listing titled “3000pcs AO3400A 100pcs” has conflicting count wording, so verify the purchasable quantity before ordering. Labels such as “Color” and “Voltage” may select a part number or pack count rather than color or electrical rating.
Selection checklist
- Match the selected full part number, N- or P-channel type, package, pinout and quantity to your bill of materials; do not infer a mixed kit from a title listing many numbers.
- Use the selected manufacturer's datasheet to confirm VDS, continuous and pulsed current under specified thermal conditions, RDS(on) at your actual gate-drive voltage, gate-charge requirements, power dissipation and safe operating area. A headline current or voltage from another option is not a rating for every variant.
- Check footprint and thermal mounting for TO-220F versus TO-220, TO-252 versus TO-263, and small SOT-23 versus larger power packages. Verify markings against the specific part and supplier information rather than treating a top code alone as proof of identity.
- For RF, double-gate and battery-protection parts, validate the intended application and the precise device or module configuration; these are not generic drop-in substitutes for a single switching MOSFET.
Frequently asked questions
Are all options in this collection N-channel MOSFETs?
No. Shared listings include P-channel MOSFETs, JFETs, MJD122 Darlington transistor and modules or protection components. The selected model determines what you receive.
Does “logic level” mean any controller can drive the MOSFET directly?
No. Compare the datasheet RDS(on) test voltage, gate charge and switching conditions with your actual driver and thermal design; threshold voltage alone does not establish fully enhanced operation.
Does a 100 A or 600 V claim apply to every product on a shared page?
No. Ratings vary by part, package and test conditions. Confirm each selected manufacturer's datasheet and the particular variant before designing around a rating.
Is a 10PCS listing a mixed set of ten different MOSFETs?
Not unless the selected option explicitly says so. Many menus offer ten pieces of one selected part number; inspect the variant text and count.
