OPA333 Zero-Drift Op Amps and Related ICs

OPA333 precision op amps: identify the exact selected device

Shop OPA333-labelled single-channel zero-drift CMOS operational amplifiers in several surface-mount packages and pack sizes, together with OPA2333 dual-channel parts and other separately selectable analog ICs. This existing collection also retains an INA333 instrumentation-amplifier module, unrelated regulator choices and a radio-knob accessory listing. Not every product or option here is an OPA333. The exact selected part number, package, quantity and deliverable matter more than a keyword in the product title.

What zero drift helps with, and what it does not promise

Zero-drift amplifiers are designed to reduce input offset and its temperature drift through internal correction. That makes them candidates for small DC signals, bridge and sensor conditioning, current-sense front ends and low-frequency measurement, provided the circuit's input common-mode range, gain, noise and output requirements are actually met. “Zero drift” is a technology description, not literally zero offset, no calibration, unlimited resolution or guaranteed accuracy in every circuit. Check maximum offset and drift over the required temperature, input bias current against source impedance, noise in the measurement bandwidth, input common-mode range, output headroom under load, power-on behavior and the manufacturer's specified supply range for the precise suffix.

Autocorrection can also introduce switching artifacts, ripple or intermodulation with an external signal. The useful noise at sub-hertz frequencies is not established by a single broadband noise-density number. For multiplexed sensors, account for settling after a channel step; for gain stages, check gain-bandwidth and slew rate at the required signal amplitude and closed-loop gain. Design for overvoltage and input protection according to the actual device limits rather than assuming a small package can tolerate arbitrary sensor faults. A low-voltage amplifier is not automatically a power amplifier, regulator or rail-to-rail guarantee at every load.

Single OPA333: three packages, different footprints

A selectable five-piece OPA333 page offers OPA333AIDCKR SC70-5, OPA333AIDR SOIC-8 and OPA333AIDBVR SOT-23-5. Another ten-piece menu offers the same three suffix choices, with the seller's associated top-mark strings BQY, O333A and OAXQ respectively. A third five-piece menu offers only OPA333AIDBVR or OPA333AIDCKR. These options identify separate packages, not three packages included together. SC70-5 and SOT-23-5 are five-lead packages with different land patterns; SOIC-8 is an eight-lead package. A part ending in AIDCKT appears in one title alongside AIDCKR, but that listing has no suffix selector and does not establish which reel or packaging suffix will ship. Confirm the actual orderable suffix and marking where it matters.

Other single-variant pages advertise OPA333AIDCKR SC70-5 in 5- or 10-piece lots, OPA333AIDBVR SOT-23-5 in 10- or 20-piece lots, and OPA333AIDR SOIC-8 in 5- or 10-piece lots. One SOIC-8 product has 1PCS, 5PCS and 10PCS choices; the selected quantity determines the delivered count. “Color” on a chip page often denotes the model or package, while “Model Number” may indicate the pack quantity. Seller fields calling the same op amp a voltage regulator, switch, logic IC, drive IC or game-console accessory are inconsistent classifications, not a change to the silicon's function. Several descriptions contain placeholder values such as “international standard” or a bare “V”; do not use them as electrical specifications.

Dual OPA2333 is not a single OPA333

Some SOP-8 pages offer OPA2333AIDR as the selected ten-piece or five-piece choice. OPA2333 is a dual-channel amplifier; its two channels and pin assignment are different from a single OPA333AIDR in an eight-lead body. Two mixed SOP-8 menus offer OPA277UA, OPA333AIDR and OPA2333AIDR as distinct options, in 5-piece and 10-piece versions respectively. Select the channel count and exact suffix rather than treating their common SOP-8 outline as electrical compatibility. A board designed for a dual amplifier cannot take a single amplifier solely because the external package has eight leads.

Other selectable amplifier models

A SOT-23-5 ten-piece menu includes OPA188AIDBVR, OPA354AIDBVR, OPA333AIDBVR and OPA356AIDBVR. Another ten-piece menu selects OPA330AIDBVR, OPA333AIDBVR or OPA335AIDBVR. A five-piece multi-model page adds OPA140, OPA170, OPA188, OPA209, OPA301, OPA320 and OPA322 choices alongside OPA330, OPA333 and OPA335. These are separate amplifier architectures and performance classes: a shared five-pin footprint or similar name does not make their supply range, input stage, offset, bandwidth, stability or pin behavior identical. For example, a fast amplifier selected from a mixed menu is not automatically a drop-in zero-drift sensor part. Check the exact package suffix and authoritative datasheet for each candidate before substituting.

A DIP-8 ten-piece listing selects OPA2134PA, OPA2132PA, OPA604AP, OPA2604AP or OPA134PA. These audio amplifier choices are neither OPA333 nor OPA2333, and the selected single/dual channel count matters. Its “international standard” supply and temperature text cannot be used as an operating limit. They remain in this collection without implying zero-drift performance.

Mixed listings with non-amplifier options

One SOT-23-5 ten-piece listing combines an OPA333AIDBVR choice with LP5907MFX-3.3, LT1761ES5-5 and TPS72325DBVR choices. The latter are regulator-type parts, not OPA333 op amps. The text's default model LP5907MFX-3.3 does not override the explicitly selected variant; conversely, buying a regulator choice does not deliver an OPA333. Do not infer that a regulator's 3.3 V or 5 V label is an allowable supply or output capability of an OPA333 chip. One unrelated listing supplies walkie-talkie volume and channel knobs: its selectors distinguish one pair, five pairs, five channel knobs or five volume knobs. It is a mechanical radio accessory, not an analog IC, and the stated Motorola radio fit is seller-specific rather than proof of universal compatibility.

INA333 module: an assembled differential front end

The MCU-333 / INA333 listing describes a human weak-signal instrumentation-amplifier module. INA333 is an instrumentation-amplifier architecture for differential measurements, not an OPA333 single general-purpose op amp. “Triple operational amplifier” in its title does not mean the order contains three loose OPA333 chips. Verify the module's populated components, supply, gain-setting network, reference pin, input common-mode headroom and output interface before using it with a sensor. The listing does not present sufficient numerical board specifications to promise particular noise, gain or medical suitability. Do not interpret “human weak signal” as medical certification, patient isolation or authorization for body-connected equipment.

Engineering checklist before choosing

  1. Identify the deliverable: loose OPA333 single IC, OPA2333 dual IC, another selected op amp, an INA333 module, a regulator or radio knobs.
  2. Match model and count: check both option axes. A “10PCS” model choice and an “OPA333AIDR” color choice together define a ten-piece single-device lot, not a mixed assortment.
  3. Match footprint and channel pins: distinguish SC70-5 AIDCKR, SOT-23-5 AIDBVR and SOIC-8 AIDR; verify board land pattern, pin 1 orientation and the manufacturer's package drawing.
  4. Validate electrical limits: minimum/maximum supply, common-mode range, allowable differential voltage, output swing at load, current consumption, offset/drift, noise, bandwidth and stability at the actual gain.
  5. Qualify application claims: a seller saying “new original,” “certified” or “international standard” without traceability and test conditions is not independent verification. For production, source and test accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Is every listing here an OPA333 op amp? No. Some choices are OPA2333, OPA188 or other op amps, some are voltage regulators, and the radio knobs are accessories. Check the selected option.

Is OPA2333AIDR an OPA333AIDR with a different label? No. OPA2333 is dual-channel, while OPA333 is single-channel. Both may have eight-lead options, but their circuit pin assignments differ.

Can I replace an SC70-5 OPA333 with a SOT-23-5 version? Not on the same footprint. Both have five leads, but their mechanical dimensions and PCB land patterns differ; check circuit pin mapping as well.

Does “zero drift” mean no offset or noise? No. Offset, drift, bias, broadband and low-frequency noise all have finite specified behavior. Correction circuitry can add artifacts relevant to some bandwidths.

Are OPA330, OPA335, OPA188 and OPA354 interchangeable with OPA333? No universal replacement is established. Compare each selected suffix's supply, pinout, input/output ranges, offset, bandwidth and stability.

Does an INA333 module contain OPA333 chips? Its listing names an INA333-based instrumentation module. Do not infer the exact fitted bill of materials from the similar “333” number.

Does a listing marked 1.8 V prove every option operates at that voltage? No. Some seller titles say 1.8 V or 1.8–5.5 V, while other pages provide only placeholders. Check the precise manufacturer's datasheet and actual board requirements.
