Raspberry Pi Boards, Pico Modules & Accessories
Raspberry Pi boards, Pico modules and project accessories
Build, connect and protect Raspberry Pi projects with a broad range of single-board computers, Pico-style microcontroller boards, camera and display connections, GPIO expansion hardware, power accessories, cases, cooling parts and electronic modules. This is not a processor-only collection. Many listings are one cable, HAT, enclosure, fan or component rather than a Raspberry Pi computer; check the selected product and variant to know exactly what is supplied.
Choose the platform before the accessory
- Single-board computers: product listings cover Raspberry Pi 5, Raspberry Pi 4, Zero/Zero 2 W and related board or kit configurations. A complete board is different from a case, breakout, adapter or bundle described as compatible with it. When a listing offers board-only, case-only and board-plus-case options, the selected option controls the contents.
- Pico and RP2040/RP2350 designs: Pico-family and Pico-format boards, RP2040/RP2350 microcontroller modules, terminal-breakout boards and servo-driver accessories serve firmware projects. They do not run the same operating environment as a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 SBC. Some Pico-shaped listings instead contain ESP32 or another controller; match the actual silicon, pinout, flash configuration and power requirements.
- Compute Module systems: CM4/CM5 carrier, dual-Ethernet and interface-board listings are expansion hardware, not necessarily the compute module itself. Confirm module generation, connector/mechanical fit, RAM and eMMC or wireless choice, and whether a carrier, power supply or enclosure is included.
- Non-Pi electronics in the assortment: general Arduino/ESP32-compatible relay boards, optocouplers, MOSFET drivers, sensors, test leads and components may mention Raspberry Pi in the application text. These are not Raspberry Pi CPUs or automatically safe to connect directly to a GPIO header.
Interface and cable selection
Camera and display FFC/FPC cables: there are 15-pin and 22-pin camera/display ribbon cables for different Pi generations and Zero-format boards, plus CSI/DSI conversion boards. Match connector pin count, contact orientation, pitch, cable length and the camera or display's actual interface. A cable labelled for CSI is not interchangeable with every DSI display cable merely because both are flat ribbon cables. Pi 5 22-pin-to-15-pin options, older 15-pin interfaces and Zero-format connectors demand particular attention. Listings can offer 8 cm to 2 m lengths, or packs of multiple cables: read the selected variant rather than taking every length in a headline as included.
GPIO expansion: T-type breadboard breakouts, 40-pin ribbon leads, screw-terminal boards and HAT-format expansion boards vary in pin orientation, cable gender and physical clearance. A breakout only routes signals; it does not by itself provide level shifting, protection or a Raspberry Pi board. Verify header numbering, pin-one alignment and the accessory's electrical design against the target Pi revision. Never assume 5 V-tolerant GPIO based on an accessory's title.
PCIe and storage: Pi 5 PCIe FPC leads and M.2 or SSD accessories require the correct connector, cable orientation and compatible adapter or HAT. A flexible cable alone does not supply an SSD or guarantee NVMe boot support. Read whether the option is a reverse-orientation lead, board, enclosure or storage-related bundle.
HDMI, USB and network: micro-HDMI cables, USB hubs, Ethernet/PoE add-ons and adapters have different plugs, data/power capabilities and supported board generations. “Compatible with Raspberry Pi” does not mean the item is exclusive to Pi or that every video resolution, charging protocol or link speed is supported in every selected length and configuration.
Power, thermal design and mechanics
- Power accessories: USB-C switch leads, PD trigger boards, UPS HATs and PoE HATs are different kinds of products. Match connector type, regulated output, current capacity and the board's power requirement. A PD trigger does not turn an arbitrary supply into an approved Pi power adapter. A UPS listing may have with battery and no battery options; check the chosen variant and use the appropriate cell and charger documentation. PoE equipment must match the network power standard and target board/HAT design.
- Cooling: passive copper or aluminum heatsinks, 25/40 mm fans and active coolers vary by dimensions, rated voltage, connector pinout and mounting holes. A product offering 5 V, 12 V and 24 V variants must be ordered for the correct voltage; “for Raspberry Pi” does not override the selected fan rating. Check enclosure and HAT clearance before stacking parts.
- Cases and displays: Pi 4 and Pi 5 housings, M.2-ready cases, touchscreens and LCD kits can be sold as basic, cooling or storage bundles. Verify board generation, port cutouts, screen interface, fan or heatsink inclusion and whether the screen needs separate power or a driver. Case-only and screen-only options do not include a Pi board unless expressly specified for that variant.
How to order accurately
- Identify the target Raspberry Pi generation and board revision, or the actual RP2040/RP2350 or third-party controller in use.
- Open the individual product page and select the precise option. Labels can encode board versus accessory, length, 15/22-pin format, connector orientation, memory, color, country of dispatch, pack quantity or with/without battery rather than just appearance.
- Check the listing's included-items section against the variant: a photo may show a demonstration setup with a board, screen, camera, cable, SSD or power adapter that is not included.
- Cross-check physical connectors, voltage levels, load/current, software support and mounting dimensions against documentation for the exact board and peripheral. Generic supplier specification fields can be inconsistent; do not promote a vague rating to a collection-wide promise.
- For production or safety-sensitive designs, obtain the required component datasheets and traceability. Seller statements about “official,” certifications or broad compatibility do not establish authentication, approval or electrical suitability for every option.
Frequently asked questions
Does every product include a Raspberry Pi processor or computer? No. Many products are standalone cables, HATs, cooling items, cases, sensors or power modules. Some Pico-format items are not Raspberry Pi-branded boards. The selected variant and included-items details determine the shipment.
Will a Pi 4 camera cable work with a Pi 5 or Zero? Do not assume so. Compare both ends' connector pin count, pitch, contact direction and the particular camera/display interface. Choose a cable or adapter explicitly suited to your board and peripheral.
Can I plug a 5 V sensor, relay or fan straight into Pi GPIO? Compatibility cannot be inferred from a search title. Check the accessory's supply voltage, signal voltage, driver circuitry and the Pi's GPIO specifications; use appropriate interfacing hardware where required.
Are a Pico, a Pi Zero and a Compute Module equivalent? No. Pico is a microcontroller-board family, Zero is an SBC family, and Compute Modules require a compatible carrier for exposed interfaces. Their software, connectors and power arrangements differ.
Does “PoE HAT,” “UPS” or “M.2 case” include the Pi, battery or SSD? Not necessarily. Look for a specific bundle option naming those items; an accessory-only option does not become a complete system because the listing shows one assembled in photos.
Are all lengths, colors and quantities in the title included together? No. Listings with multiple options typically supply the selected length, color, pack size or model. Confirm the quantity in the chosen variant before checkout.
