Product Description
The W25Q80/16/32/64/128 serial flash memory provides a storage solution for systems with limited space, pin count, and power consumption. The 25Q series offers flexibility and performance far beyond ordinary serial flash devices. They are ideal for code shadowing to RAM, executing code directly from the SPI interface, and storing voice, text, and data. The devices operate from a single 2.7V to 3.6V power supply and consume as little as 1μA in power-down state. All devices are available in space-saving packages. The W25Q80/16/32/64/128 arrays consist of 4,096/8,192/16,384/32,768/65,536 programmable pages, each with 256 bytes. The W25Q80/16/32/64/128 feature 256/512/1,024/2,048/4,096 erasable sectors and 16/32/64/128/256 erasable blocks respectively. The 4KB small sectors provide greater flexibility for applications requiring data and parameter storage. The W25Q series supports the standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) with clock frequencies up to 104MHz.

The WP (Write Protect) and HOLD pins are tied to VCC by default. This configuration does not support Quad mode; the module operates in standard single-line SPI mode only (i.e., no dual or quad SPI support).
III. Pin Description
VCC: Positive power supply input
GND: Ground
CS: Chip select input
CLK: Serial clock input
DO: Master data output / Slave data input (data output from the device)
DI: Master data input / Slave data output (data input to the device)
IV. Important Notes
Page write cannot cross page boundaries. If the data length to be written exceeds 256 bytes, the write operation will wrap around to the beginning of the same page, overwriting existing data at the start.
Erase must be performed by sector or block. Byte-by-byte erasure is not supported.
Power-off protection: A power loss during a write operation may corrupt data on the page. It is recommended to perform a read-back verification after each write operation.
Compatibility considerations: The W25Qxx series is pin-compatible with other Flash brands such as GD25Qxx and XT25Fxx. However, some instructions, such as protection mechanisms, may differ slightly. Please refer to the respective datasheets for details.
