 This lamp base converter don't change any voltage or current. If there is a ballast connected, dismantle ballast before install the LED light, otherwise the ballast will make resonance high voltage which destroy the light. Note: It is 100% that PL-C downlight fixture has ballast inside. 


3. How to bypass the ballast? 

1). Turn Off the Power. 

2). Find the Ballast. Usually it is embedded inside the ceiling fixture. Pls pull off the existing PL lamp, reflector. Leave wire in junction box. and find the ballast. 

3). Normally, the Ballast has a black and white wire on the input side (AC input side, 100V -120V for North America). It also has two red and two blue output wires. To bypass this ballast, please cut all the Input and output wires, so total 6 wires cut. 

4). Then, you can connect the two red wires to the black wire. 
5). Next, connect the two blue wires to the white wire. now ballast is bypassed.
