MCU-219 INA219 I2C Interface Zero-Drift Bidirectional Current/Power Monitoring Sensor Module

The MCU-219 module is a zero-drift, bidirectional current/power monitoring IC with an I2C interface, expanding TI’s portfolio of energy-efficient electronic products.

The INA219 features industry-leading accuracy and compact size. It monitors the voltage drop across a shunt resistor, senses the shunt supply voltage, and calculates power simultaneously.

Housed in a SOT23 package, it provides a compact, low-cost solution for digital current sensing in servers, laptops, power supplies, battery management, automotive, and telecommunications equipment.

The INA219 achieves 1% accuracy over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with an offset of 100μV.

Combined with 12-bit resolution, its high precision allows designers to minimize the voltage drop across the shunt resistor, reducing power loss, lowering power consumption, and saving board space.

The device can sense a bus voltage range from 0V to +26V.
