1. This 0.56-inch 4-bit 7-segment display module comes with a clock function.
2. This 7-segment display matrix is multiplexed, and to control all 7-segment LEDs, you need 14 pins.
3. This module can easily add a 4-digit digital display with a decimal point, which can be used to create the "second colon point" of a clock.
4. Using a matrix driver chip (HT16K33) will perform multiplexing for you. You need to send an i2c command to the chip, telling it which LEDs to light up, and it will handle it for you.
5. As it only uses I2C for control, it can be used with any development board and can share I2C pins with other sensors or displays.
