Product Description
Turn a single 18650 battery into a Type-C rechargeable 5V power bank with this 2-in-1 module. It combines a lithium battery charger (4.2V cutoff) and a 5V boost converter. Just connect a battery to BAT+/BAT-, plug 5V into Type-C to charge, and get 5V output from OUT+/OUT- continuously. Up to 2A output – enough for most dev boards and USB gadgets. We offer pre-soldered Type-C (ready to use) and Type-C not soldered (with free connector, for custom positioning or batch SMT).
⚡ Quick Start Guide & Important Tips
🔹 What It Does & What You Need
✅ Does: Charges a single 4.2V Li-ion battery from 5V Type-C, boosts battery voltage to 5V output.
❌ Does NOT: Charge multi-cell batteries (1S only), output >2A continuous (1.5A recommended), support LiFePO4.
🔧 You need: One 18650/14500/10440 battery, 5V/2A charger with Type-C cable. For not-soldered version, soldering iron.
Wiring (Pre-soldered Version)
1.Battery: BAT+ → battery positive, BAT- → negative.
2.Output: OUT+ → load positive, OUT- → negative.
3.Charge: Plug Type-C into 5V charger. Red LED = charging, blue = full.
⚠️ Reverse polarity on BAT+/BAT- will destroy the chip. Double-check.
🔹 Not-Soldered Version Instructions
A free Type-C female connector is included. Solder it to the marked pads on the board.
Minimum required: solder VBUS (5V) and GND pads. CC pins are optional for basic charging.
Watch polarity: align connector’s 5V and GND to board’s markings.
Output Current Limits

🔹 Common Questions
❓ Module gets warm while charging?
Normal (≈60°C). If too hot (>80°C), check input voltage (<5.5V) and battery condition.
❓ No 5V output?
Check battery polarity and voltage (>2.8V). Add a small load (10mA+) if module entered sleep.
❓ Can I get the not-soldered version pre-soldered?
No. Please choose the "Pre-soldered" version for that.
❓ Use with 3.2V LiFePO4?
No. Cutoff voltage is 4.2V, will overcharge LiFePO4.
❓ LED not working?
If battery is full, red off, blue on. No battery? LED may flicker. Check connections.
