 GY-56 is a low-cost digital infrared distance measurement sensor module. It operates at a voltage range of 3-5V, has low power consumption, a small size, and is easy to install. Its working principle is as follows: an infrared LED emits light, which shines on the object being measured. The returned light is received by the MCU, and the MCU calculates the time difference to obtain the distance. The distance value is directly output. This module has two ways to read data, namely serial port UART (TTL level) + IC (2-wire) mode.
