J-LINK-V9-MINI is a fully functional compact version of the J-LINK-V9. Compared to other debuggers/programmers, it offers the following main advantages:

1. Fully compatible with the J-LINK-V9 in both functionality and usage. Supports common J-LINK features such as program download, online debugging, J‑Flash, J‑Scope, J‑RTT, etc.

2. Supports SWD and JTAG interfaces (JTAG interface requires target chip support; it is known that the STM32F0 series does not support JTAG, but program download and debugging can still be performed via the SWD interface).

3. Compared with ST-LINK, J-LINK-OB, DAP-LINK, etc., it offers higher program download and debugging speeds: up to 15 MHz for the JTAG interface and up to 12 MHz for the SWD interface.

4. Supports virtual serial port (UART) functionality, with a maximum baud rate of 230400.

Product Features

Compact size: the board area of the J-LINK-V9-MINI is 44 mm × 22 mm.

1. Uses USB‑Type‑C for connection to the PC. Compared with USB‑A, USB‑Mini, and USB‑Micro interfaces, the USB‑Type‑C interface offers better compatibility with more devices, stronger cable compatibility, and supports reversible insertion.

2. The J‑LINK‑V9‑MINI features an onboard 5V‑to‑3.3V power conversion chip, which can supply 3.3 V power to the target device, with a maximum output current of 300 mA.

3. The J‑LINK‑V9‑MINI includes an onboard 6 V / 0.35 A self‑resetting fuse to prevent short circuits from damaging the host computer.

4. The J‑LINK‑V9‑MINI brings out both the SWD and JTAG interfaces to a 2.54 mm‑pitch 8‑pin header for user convenience.

5. The J‑LINK‑V9‑MINI is factory‑programmed with firmware version V9.40 and supports automatic firmware updates.

6. The J‑LINK‑V9‑MINI comes with a transparent heat‑shrink tubing for a neat appearance and additional protective covering.

Usage Instructions:

1.SWD connection method– taking STM32F103C8T6 as an example: PA13 is SWDIO, PA14 is SWCLK. Use a 4‑pin connection.

2. JTAG connection method – taking STM32F103C8T6 as an example: PA13 is TMS, PA14 is TCK, PA15 is TDI, PB3 is TDO, PB4 is NTRST (optional, may be left unconnected). Use a 6‑pin connection.

1. The current provided by the J-LINK-V9-MINI is limited (maximum 300 mA). If the target device under debug contains high-power components (such as LCD displays, motors, etc.), an external power supply should be used for the device.

2. When the target device already has an external power supply, a single power source should be used (i.e., the 3.3V pin on the J-LINK-V9-MINI should not be connected to the target device). If both the external power supply and the J-LINK-V9-MINI's onboard power are used to power the target device simultaneously (cross-powering), prolonged use may cause damage to the device. Such usage should be avoided whenever possible.
