For the convenience of friends who like DIY, this decoder provides two sales modes: kit and finished product:

White: PCB + all chip components + CS8416 + EEPROM chip + STC11F02E (write monitoring program)



Gray, black: It is a finished machine (excluding TDA1541 chip).



In order to play this timeless classic, we do this:

Power supply: Four high-quality sealed transformers are used to strictly distinguish between digital power supply, decoding chip power supply and LPF power supply. For the TDA1541 chip, two negative voltages (-5V, -15V) use two transformers to avoid introduction from the LPF power supply loop- 15V causes cross interference!
Five sets of parallel regulated power supply: the decoding details and dynamics are fully exerted. There are many disputes about various power supply circuits, but the disadvantages of parallel voltage regulation are only low efficiency and high cost. The quality is definitely not comparable to any series voltage regulation. Its power supply internal resistance, ripple, transient response time and other voltage regulation The circuit is not on a level.
MCU soft-control digital receiving: microcomputer dynamically optimizes parameters and adjusts the phase detector of the receiving chip (CS8416) to automatically adapt to the input code rate and minimize jitter.
Essential digital filter: In short, any TDA1541 decoder that does not use the SAA7220 digital filter is no longer the sound of 1541.
Carefully designed two-stage LPF circuit: This decoding uses four single op amps to complete the two-stage LPF low-pass circuit. This is a very important design, and its driving ability and LPF circuit characteristics are guaranteed.
The detail design is also intimate: a lot of details determine the success or failure, and the details of this decoder are not compromised. The simple operation and the layout in one go, even if the dual-capacitor position of the coupling output is placed (easy to tune), it can reflect the incomparable Attentively.

Materials for fever: For the TDA1541 of several hundred yuan, four-sealed transformer power supply, parallel voltage stabilization, MCU soft control, a large number of fever components (Panasonic, Philips, ELNA, Wima capacitors), the original intention of the design we are the first in sound quality, Cost second!

Later tuning design changes (very important, friends who purchase kits please refer to):

1. The SFC11F02E single-chip microcomputer with internal storage is upgraded, and the working status of the storage decoding of the monitoring program uses a more stable internal flash memory, so the external 24C02 flash memory does not need to be soldered (the small chip in the SOP8 package on the right side of the MCU), and the kit is no longer Supporting.

2. There are two 1N capacitors in the LPF part, changed to Epcos 2N2.

3. The output coupling part adopts nichicon MUSE 47uf electrodeless capacitor or Philips axial fever capacitor. It is delivered at random and can also be specified. The original Wima parallel ELNA design is cancelled.

4. The op amp can optionally upgrade the LT1028. I compared the OPA627, LME49710 and other op amps. The LT1028 will be more suitable and the sound line will be more detailed.

Regarding sound quality: The reason why the TDA1541 chip lasts for a long time does have very obvious characteristics. It is almost the most analog chip in cash. The high frequency is gorgeous and not frizzy, the low frequency is deep and stable, and the intermediate frequency is brighter. Taking the current mainstream chip's 192K code rate as the 1541 ratio, in fact, in front of the 16bit 44.1K code rate, even if it can exceed the 1541 chip in terms of parameters, there are very few chips. It is estimated that 99% of the hard drives can be 44.1K CD music.
