1. Introduction to the PCF8563 Clock Chip
The PCF8563 is an industrial-grade, multifunctional clock/calendar chip with extremely low power consumption and an I2C bus interface, developed by Philips. The PCF8563's various alarm functions, timer, clock output, and interrupt output capabilities can provide diverse timing services and even act as a watchdog for the microcontroller. This clock chip offers excellent value and is widely used in meters (electricity, water, gas), telephones, fax machines, portable instruments, and other battery-powered devices.

2. Module Interface Instructions:
Left Side (Battery Installation Interface):
Pay attention to the direction when installing the battery, following the orientation shown in the image.

Right Side:

• INT: Interrupt output (generally unused)
• COT: Clock output terminal (generally unused)
• SCL: I2C clock interface, connects to microcontroller I/O
• SDA: I2C digital interface, connects to microcontroller I/O
• GND: Ground
• VCC: Power supply interface, external 3.3V-5V

3. Testing Instructions:
Download the program from the "51" folder in the provided materials to the STC89C52 microcontroller (the program is highly compatible and can be used with other microcontrollers with minor modifications). After powering up, open the serial port to receive the current clock information. Once the program is loaded, you can use a serial debugging tool to receive information about the year, month, day, hour, minute, and second.

5. Precautions:
Yellow (or black) pin headers will be provided with the shipment but will not be soldered to the board. Customers can solder the headers or other connectors as per their needs or leave them unsoldered.
