Introduction

NRF52840 Dongle is a compact and low-cost USB dongle, which is suitable for low-power Bluetooth using nRF52840 SOC, Bluetooth network, thread, ZigBee, 802.15.4, ANT and 2.4GHz proprietary applications. Dongle is the perfect target hardware for use with nRF Connect For Desktop, because it is cheap, but still supports all short-range wireless standards used by Nordic devices. The dongle is designed to work with nRF Connect For Desktop as a wireless hardware device. For other use cases, please note that there is no debugging support on Dongle, which only supports device programming and communication via USB.

It is supported by most nRF Connect For Desktop applications and will be automatically programmed as needed. In addition, you can make custom applications and download them to Dongle. It has user-programmable RGB LED, green LED, user-programmable button and 15 GP1Os that can be accessed through castle solder joints along the edge. The sample application is provided in the nRF5 SDK with the circuit board name PCA10059.
