FAQ about the selection of JK BMS
(1) What is the same port and what is the split port
For example, 20 strings of 64V100A protection board, the same port means that your charging negative electrode and discharge negative electrode are connected to the same point (P-) of the protection board, and the charging and discharging negative electrode share an interface, so his charging current and discharge current are the same 100A.
The split, just the opposite, the charging negative electrode (C-) and the discharge negative electrode are separated (P-), connected to different points of the protection board, so the charging and discharging current will be different, discharge 100A, charge 100A.
(2) The relationship between battery capacity and protection board current
The size of the battery capacity is not directly related to the current size of this board, mainly looking at the continuous current, that is to say, the greater the current limit of your controller, the larger the continuous current of the selected protection board, which is not directly related to your battery capacity.
(3) What kind of charger should I choose?
Lithium batteries must be charged with a charger dedicated to lithium batteries, do not use lead-acid battery chargers, charging with lead-acid chargers may cause high voltage breakdown of the protection board MOS tube, resulting in overcharge of the protection board is not protected.
Tieli battery charger voltage = number of battery strings× 3.65V;
ternary battery charger = number of battery strings× 4.25V.
(4) How much current should I choose to protect the board?
The current of the protection board depends on the current limit of the controller, and the current limit of the controller depends on the power of the motor, for example, the motor is 64V, 1000W, then the current is 1000/64=15.6A. At this time, the current limit of the controller must be greater than 15.6A, and the current limit of the protection board must be greater than the current limit of the controller. In practice, there must be a margin in the selection process.
