The FEITA ST Heat Set Insert Tool Kit is the essential accessory for anyone working with 3D printed parts, plastic enclosures, or DIY electronics. By using your existing TS100, Pinecil, or other ST-series soldering iron, you can quickly and permanently install brass threaded inserts into plastic — creating strong, reusable metal threads without glue or tapping.

Unlike direct screwing into plastic (which strips easily), heat-set inserts melt into the material and become flush with the surface. This allows you to screw and unscrew bolts hundreds of times without damaging your part.

How to Use

Insert a compatible ST flat or conical tip into your soldering iron.

Set the temperature to approx. 200°C–250°C.

Place the brass insert onto the tip.

Align it with a pre-drilled hole (slightly smaller than insert outer diameter).

Gently press down until the insert sits flush with the plastic surface.

Remove the iron and allow 5–10 seconds for the plastic to cool.
