Official Introduction: Recently, the Chis team released a GBA flashcart following the SuperGard design, the SuperChis Prime.

The design goal of SuperChis Prime is simple: to optimize the core shortcomings of SuperCard while keeping costs under control, filling the gap in the GBA market where there are no good, budget-friendly flashcarts.

What are the similarities between SuperChis Prime and SuperGard?

1. Both use SDRAM + GBA direct-drive TF card architecture.

2. Both support excellent third-party kernels such as SuperFW.

What are the advantages of SuperChis Prime compared to SuperGard?

1. Reduced power consumption by approximately 30%. It uses a lower-power controller, SRAM, and SDRAM. (Actual test images should be provided here, but I seem to lack upload permissions.)

2. Resolves core issues of "slowdown," "white screen," and "freezing." The slowdown is caused by SDRAM requiring patching to use slower timings for access; failure to apply the slowdown patch results in a white screen or freezing. SuperChis Prime uses high-capacity NORFgsh to avoid SDRAM slowdown and freezing, and deeply optimizes Flash write speed; the standard 32MB burning time is approximately 115 seconds.

3. Firmware implemented from scratch, making it more friendly to kernel (such as SuperFW) developers, avoiding register conflicts and other issues that may exist in older firmware, which is helpful for long-term support.

4. Optimizes detailed user experience: Instant main menu access: On SuperCard, SuperFW takes about 5 seconds to enter the menu after startup, while SuperChis Prime takes about 1 second. Faster loading: SuperCard takes about 20 seconds to load 32MB to SDRAM, while SuperChis Prime... e is approximately 12 seconds.

Instant Startup: SuperGard lacks a Flash mode, but SuperChis Prime allows for instant startup after burning games to Flash. Functionality remains unchanged, supporting shortcut menus, cheat codes, and instant saves without slowing down the game.

Compatibility Optimization: SuperCard often has defective products that cannot enable "Fast Load," nearly doubling the loading time for a 32MB cartridge. SuperChis avoids this possibility by design. Similarly, Flash mode can resolve a significant number of incompatible games because no slowdown patches are needed.

5. Newly molded casing with better texture and more scientific design.

What are the advantages of SuperChis Prime compared to other high-capacity NOR Flash cartridges?

1. Unique fragmented Flash management: Writing and deleting games from Flash is as simple as file management. Users only need to focus on remaining capacity, without needing to know the game's location in Flash. The system automatically handles everything.

2. Retains SDRAM for practical functions such as instant saves, and can also be used for previewing and selecting games.

SuperChis The shortcomings of Prime (completely superior to SuperCard):

1. Does not support RTC, vibration, or other special functions; SuperFW's built-in virtual clock does not work offline and only works in-game.

2. For cost reasons, the standard configuration is battery + SRAM, with ferroelectric SRAM as an option; CR1616 is a low-power SRAM, theoretically offering 20 years of battery life, conservatively estimated at 10 years.

3. Due to the limitations of SDRAM technology, approximately 1-3% of GBA games are incompatible.

4. Does not support hardware save emulation; EEPROM/Flash game support depends on SuperFW's database and patch engine overlay. The main problem lies in custom games, such as Pokémon.
