SIM800C Mini Module

The SIM800C module is a high-performance, cost-effective industrial-grade GSM/GPRS module (development board). This module adopts industrial-grade quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHzSIM800 chip, which can realize the transmission of voice, SMS, data and fax information with low power consumption.

Product Specifications
SIM card holder (SIM_CARD)
This card slot is used to install a SIM card. Supports China Mobile and China Unicom SIM cards; does not support China Telecom SIM cards.
We recommend using a GSM (2G) SIM card; however, 2G services are gradually being phased out, and most SIMs sold at service centers today are 3G/4G. That said, current 3G/4G SIMs are backward‑compatible with the GSM/GPRS features of older 2G cards.
The SIM card socket of the SIM800C module is equipped with an ESD‑protected chip (U5), which significantly enhances stability and prevents damage to both the module and the SIM card caused by static electricity from your hand during insertion or removal.
Module power on/off
If the PWK pin is shorted to GND for 1 second or longer and then released, the device can be powered on or off. You can also short the PWK and GND pins to achieve power-on self-start.
Module status indicator (NET_STA)
By observing the blinking pattern of this indicator light, we can easily determine the operating status of the SIM800C module.

Mobile phone lithium battery interface
This pin can be used to connect an external lithium battery; when the external power supply is disconnected, the module can be powered by the lithium battery. When the lithium battery is not in use, this interface can also provide external power at 4 V, or allow an external source to supply power to the module within the range of 3.4V to 4.4 V.

5V: Power‑supply pin; it accepts only DC 5V and is used to power the board.
V_TTL: 5V/3.3V of the core voltage of the target control board single chip microcomputer (distinguished according to the number of V cores of its own single chip microcomputer). This pin is used to convert TXD and RXD of GSM module board into corresponding TTL logic.
GND: Power ground
TXD: Module’s serial transmit pin, TTL level (cannot be directly connected to RS‑232 level)
RXD: Module’s serial receive pin, TTL level (cannot be directly connected to RS‑232 level)
DTR: Data Terminal Ready
SPKP: Kernel audio output pin
SPKN: Kernel audio output pin
MICN: Kernel audio input pin
MICP: Kernel audio input pin
RI: Ring Indicator pin
VRTC: RTC external battery pins
GND: Power ground
PWR: Pulling this pin low enables or disables the module.
GND: Power ground
VBAT: Lithium battery input pin, 3.3V to 4.4V
