Soldering tip maintenance:

-Before use

1. It is recommended to apply new solder to the soldering iron tip when heating it for the first time to remove the oxide coating on it.

2. Because of electroplating, it is recommended not to use a knife to frustrate or grind the soldering iron tip.

-In use

1. When welding, try to use neutral flux. Use a cleaning sponge to clean the soldering iron and add water. Do not wipe with a cloth.

2. Keep the work surface coated with tin at all times, wipe it only before use, and apply tin immediately after use.

3. When the soldering temperature is higher than 350°C and the work is suspended for more than 1 hour, the soldering iron tip should be tinned frequently.

-After use

1. Before turning off the soldering station, do not remove excess tin from the soldering iron tip. The excess tin will protect the tin surface and prevent oxidation when the soldering iron tip reheats.

2. Avoid using anti-seize solder (threaded tip) otherwise it will affect the function of the soldering iron. If seizing occurs, try to remove the soldering iron head when the soldering iron is residual heat.

3. To prevent biting, the soldering iron head can be removed from the handle at intervals.
