SPECIFICATIONS

ZLAN5843A is a new generation of 8-port server developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., LTD. It can realize 8-channel serial port data transfer to TCP/IP and support two 10M /100M Ethernet ports. Compared with ZLAN5800A, ZLAN5843A supports Modbus gateway function of Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU. The Modbus gateway supports simultaneous reading of data from multiple Modbus clients, which is the "multi-host" function.

ZLAN5843A support extending to 16/24/32 ports through cascade Ethernet port, maximum to 64 serial ports.

2.1    Hardware characteristics

1)     All the eight serial ports support RS232, RS485 serial ports.

2)     The eight serial ports can work independently in full duplex without interference, and can be configured with different baud rates.

3)     Support network switch function of 2 network ports, can be used as switch at the same time.

4)     Abundant indicator light, each serial port has a separate TCP connection indicator light and data activity indicator light.

2.2 Software features

1)     Support TCP server, TCP client, UDP mode, UDP multicast. Supports 10 TCP connections as a TCP server.

2)     Baud rate support 1200 ~ 460800bps, data bit support 5 ~ 9 bit, check bit can be no check, odd check, even check, mark, space five ways, support CTS/RTS hardware flow control and XON/XOFF soft-flow control.

3)     Support device connection to send MAC address function, convenient cloud management device.

4)     Provide computer terminal search, configuration equipment secondary development kit DLL development library.

5)     Support DHCP dynamic access to IP, DNS protocol connection domain name server address.

6)     Support cloud remote search device, configuration device parameters.

7)     Support remote view of device TCP connection status via software. Virtual serial port support data monitoring function.

8)     Support Modbus gateway function, support Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP.

Support multi-host function: in the question and answer query mode, support network port allows more than one computer access to the same serial port device.
