The function of the soft start board is to reduce the impact of the machine on the power grid and prolong the service life of the switch.

Lightning protection function:

Function of lightning protection tube: lightning protection tube is also called gas discharge tube

In order to improve the trigger probability of the discharge tube, there is a trigger aid in the discharge tube.

It is composed of a pair of cold cathode plates separated from each other and packaged in a ceramic tube filled with a certain amount of inert gas (AR).

Under normal working conditions, the gas discharge tube is turned off, and its inter electrode resistance is more than megohm. When the surge voltage exceeds the withstand voltage strength of the circuit system, the gas is discharged

Due to the low arc voltage, which is only tens of volts, the further rise of surge voltage can be limited in a short time.

The gas discharge tube is to use the above principle to limit the surge voltage, to discharge the lightning transient over-current and limit the Overvoltage on the circuit

This board uses super current (100a) pure copper pin relay and 4 super large thermistor NTC 20d-20, which can effectively protect the machine and prevent excessive starting current.

This board does not need auxiliary power supply, only has two terminals, one is connected with power input (connected with switch control before), and one output is connected with load, so it is very convenient to use.

working principle:

In the initial stage of power supply, the load is supplied by thermistor with negative temperature coefficient. With the increase of thermistor temperature, the resistance value decreases and the voltage rises slowly, which effectively suppresses the impact of surge current on the line and the impact on other electrical appliances. After about 2 seconds, the relay is closed (adjustable pull-in time, see the figure for details), short circuit thermistor, the power supply will directly supply power to the load through the relay contact, and the load will enter the normal working state.
