Module Description

The voltmeter head adopts the scheme of high-precision reference+high-precision sampling resistance, with accurate measurement and high resolution.

The 1M ohm high resistance input resistor can be used to measure the weaker (low current drive capability requirement) signal, which has little impact on the measured system.

The bipolar design scheme is adopted, which can measure two-way positive and negative voltages up to ± 100V. The voltage can be measured normally without deliberately distinguishing wiring.

The module will not work when the power supply is connected reversely, but it will not damage the circuit.

If the input overload voltage is high and the input voltage reaches 150V, the circuit will not be damaged. When the voltage recovers to plus or minus 100V, the module will immediately measure the voltage normally without restarting.

The module integrates the serial port communication function (non isolated version: TTL serial port; isolated version: 485 interface). The module voltage data can be read back by SCM, computer (USB to serial port module is required) and other devices. Modbus protocol is used for large-scale integration and industrial application.

Precautions for module usel

1. Do not use a power supply that exceeds the nominal supply voltage range to power the module.

2. The voltage shall not exceed 30V when the connection is reversed;

3. The non isolated meter is a common ground design. If the meter and the circuit to be tested are powered by the same power supply, only the voltage between the negative power supply and other nodes in the circuit can be measured. If multiple meters are required to monitor the voltage between any nodes in the circuit at the same time, please use isolated meters.

Q: When measuring the voltage, what is the condition that the display is always drifting?

A: When testing after receiving the product, users need to ensure the stability of the voltage to be tested before accurately measuring the stability of the product. Common error operations collected so far include:

1. The battery string resistance scheme is adopted to provide the voltage to be measured:

As the voltage of the battery decreases gradually during use, the voltage of the voltage divider also decreases gradually, indicating a natural gradual decrease (please use a stable power supply to generate a voltage test);

2. Use small package resistor or small resistance value resistor to generate voltage:

Small package resistors often have low power and poor heat dissipation, and will gradually become hot when passing through the current. The resistance value will drift with the temperature drift, and the distributed voltage will also drift (it is recommended to directly measure the power output terminal to test the module performance, or use a high-power resistor to generate a stable voltage).

Q: Can I use battery power?

A: Yes. The module has a wide power supply voltage. As long as the battery voltage is within the nominal power supply range of the module, the battery can be used for power supply.
