Product Overview
The ACS712 is a classic Hall-effect current
sensor IC. This chip is primarily designed based on the principle of Hall
induction, consisting of a precise low-offset linear Hall sensor circuit and a
copper foil located near the surface of the IC. When current flows through the
copper foil, it generates a magnetic field. The Hall element senses this
magnetic field and induces a linear voltage signal. After passing through
internal amplification, filtering, chopping, and correction circuits, a voltage
signal is output. This signal is output from pin 7 of the chip and directly
reflects the magnitude of the current flowing through the copper foil. The
measurement ranges are divided into three specifications: ±5A, ±20A, and ±30A. The
input and output maintain a good linear relationship within the measurement
range.
