The ADS1115 A/D converter, the ADS1115 analog-to-digital converter, provides high-precision, 16-bit accuracy at a sampling rate of 860 times per second via I2C.

This chip can be configured as 4 single-ended input channels or 2 differential channels.

It includes a programmable gain amplifier up to x16 to help boost small single/differential signals to the full range.

It can operate within a power/logic range of 2V to 5V and can measure a wide range of signals, and is very easy to use.

The ADS11x5 chip has a basic 7-bit I2C address of 0x48 (1001000) and an ingenious addressing scheme that allows four different addresses to use only one address pin (referred to as ADR for ADDRess). To program the address, connect the address pin as follows:

0x48 (1001000) ADR - Grounded 0x49 (1001001) ADR - VDD

0x4A (1001010) ADR-SDA

0x4B (1001011) ADR-SCL
