It combines the DS3231 high-precision RTC (temperature compensated) with AT24C32 EEPROM (32Kb) on a single board, communicating via I2C. Less than 1 minute drift per year, leap year compensation until 2100. The module has a battery socket for backup (keeps time when main power is off). However, due to shipping restrictions, battery is NOT included – you need to supply your own LIR2032 (rechargeable) or CR2032. Ideal for data loggers, smart clocks, timed switches, or any system needing saved parameters.

⚠️ Important Notes
1. Battery: The module HAS a battery socket for backup (keeps time when power is off). However, battery is NOT included due to shipping restrictions. You need to buy LIR2032 (rechargeable, charging circuit onboard) or CR2032 (non-rechargeable – do NOT apply main power while battery inserted).
2. Chip Suffix: Random between DS3231SN and DS3231M – both have temperature compensation, same performance.
3. Soldering Headers: Headers are not soldered by default. Choose "Pre-soldered" SKU for ready-to-use.
4. I2C Addresses: DS3231 = 0x68, AT24C32 default = 0x57 (changeable via A0/A1/A2).
5. First Use: You must set the time in code (e.g., using library or compile time). EEPROM needs no initialization.
