The MCP9808 detects temperatures between –40°C and +125°C, delivering advanced accuracy of ±0.25°C (typical) and ±0.5°C (maximum), with user‑selectable resolution up to +0.0625°C.

The sensor features user‑programmable registers for shutdown or low‑power modes, as well as temperature alert window limits and critical output limits. When the temperature moves outside the specified boundaries, the MCP9808 outputs an alert signal. Users can configure comparator output or interrupt output for temperature alerts.
