🔧 Quick Start Guide & Important Tips

🔹 What It Is & What To Verify

✅ This is: LCD1602 LCD screen + PCF8574 I2C adapter (pre-soldered as one unit). 16x2 characters, 5V, I2C.

❌ This is NOT: A color TFT. Cannot display images. Not SPI interface.

🔧 You need: Arduino/ESP32, 4x female-to-female Dupont wires.

🔹 Wiring Guide

1.VCC → 5V
2.GND → GND
3.SDA → Arduino Uno A4 (or ESP32 GPIO21)
4.SCL → Arduino Uno A5 (or ESP32 GPIO22)
⚠️ I2C Address: Default is 0x27. If nothing shows, run an I2C scanner. Some batches use 0x3F.

🔹 Driver Setup

1.Arduino IDE → Library Manager → Search LiquidCrystal I2C → Install by Frank de Brabander.
2.Open HelloWorld example, set I2C address to 0x27 (or your scanned address).
3.If characters appear faint or blocky, turn the blue potentiometer to adjust contrast.

🔹 Common Questions

❓ No characters displayed? 1) Adjust the blue potentiometer (contrast). 2) Verify I2C address (0x27 or 0x3F). 3) Check wiring.

❓ Shows a row of solid blocks? Contrast is too high—turn the potentiometer down.

❓ Backlight not on? Check the backlight jumper on the adapter board. Some versions need a solder bridge to enable the backlight.
