The TPA3255 is a high-performance Class D power amplifier that delivers true high-end sound quality with Class D efficiency. The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction (PurePath ™ ultra-high definition). This technology allows the device to maintain ultra-low distortion over the entire audio band while delivering perfect sound quality. The device operates in AD mode, capable of driving up to two 315W/4R loads and two 150W (unclipped power)/8R loads at 10% THD, and features a 2 VRMS analog input interface that supports seamless connection with high-performance DACs (e.g. TI's PCM5242). In addition to excellent audio performance, the TPA3255 also combines high power efficiency with ultra-low power stage idle losses (below 2.5W). This can be achieved with an 85mR MOSFET and an optimized gate driver scheme, which significantly reduces idle losses compared to traditional discrete implementations.
