The MCU-219 module is a zero drift, bidirectional current/power monitoring integrated circuit (IC) with I2C interface, further strengthening TI's energy-saving electronic product lineup. INA219 has industry standards and a small size, which can not only monitor the voltage drop on the shunt resistor, sense the shunt supply voltage, but also calculate the power supply. This device is packaged in SOT23 and provides a small, low-cost solution for digital current sensing in servers, laptops, power supplies, battery management, as well as in vehicle and telecommunications equipment.

INA219 can achieve a 1% error accuracy with an offset of 100 uV in the temperature range of -40C to+85C. The high precision of this product combined with the advantage of 12 bit resolution can help customers minimize the voltage drop on the shunt resistor, thereby minimizing power loss and consumption and saving board level space. The device can sense a bus voltage range of 0 V to+26 V.
