The YX850 is a power auto-switching module designed for critical devices – essentially a miniature UPS (uninterruptible power supply). When the main power source (e.g., 12V adapter) fails, it automatically switches to a backup battery (lead-acid or lithium) to keep your equipment running without interruption. Ideal for security systems, network equipment, industrial controls, solar setups, and any application where downtime is unacceptable. With wide voltage support (5V-48V main input, 12V-48V battery) and 10A load capacity, it meets the needs of most low-voltage devices. Simple to install – just connect and forget.

Critical Notes Before Use!

【Important! Brief Power Interruption During Switching】
The switching process may cause a brief interruption of several milliseconds to a few seconds (depending on load and battery). Not suitable for ultra-sensitive equipment (e.g., some medical instruments, high-precision sensors). For such applications, consider adding a supercapacitor buffer.

️ 【Most Common Misconceptions & Misuse】

1.Correct Wiring: Three terminals:
DC IN: Main power input (5V-48V, observe polarity)
BAT: Backup battery input (12V-48V, observe polarity)
OUT: Load output (connect your device)
DO NOT connect battery directly to OUT or DC IN – this may damage the module.
2.Battery Voltage Match: Backup battery voltage should be close to the main power voltage to ensure proper operation after switching. For 12V main power, use a 12V battery.
3.Battery Type: Suitable for lead-acid or lithium battery packs (with protection) . Single 3.7V Li-ion cells are not recommended (voltage too low).
4.Load Current ≤10A: Exceeding 10A continuously may overheat the module. Ensure adequate ventilation if running near the limit.
5.Switching Time: The module uses a relay, so switching takes milliseconds to seconds. For most routers, cameras, and industrial controls, this is acceptable, but may cause reset in extremely sensitive devices.

【Correct Usage Steps】

Power off before wiring: Disconnect all power sources. Connect DC IN, BAT, and OUT according to labels (observe polarity).
Check connections: Apply main power first, measure OUT voltage to confirm normal operation.
Test switching: Disconnect main power – load should continue running from battery. If so, module is working.
Long-term use: Periodically check backup battery charge to ensure readiness.

Heat Dissipation: The module may warm up at 10A load; allow airflow.

Battery Charging: This module does NOT charge the backup battery. Use a dedicated charger to maintain battery charge.

Voltage Range: Main input 5V-48V, but battery input recommended 12V-48V (below 12V may not drive some loads). If main input is 5V, ensure battery voltage is also suitable for your load.
