Non-Inverting Signal Modules and Audio Amplifier Boards

Non-inverting signal stages and related amplifier products

Shop adjustable small-signal non-inverting amplifier modules, configurable high-speed op-amp boards and a broader selection of audio power amplifiers, RF stages, preamps, power supplies and loose analog ICs. These are not all implementations of one non-inverting circuit: a THS4001 signal-conditioning board, OPA691 current-feedback module, Bluetooth speaker power amplifier and USB-C headphone decoder answer different engineering needs. Read the selected product and variant before ordering. The page retains all existing products while explaining what each class does and where the term “amplifier” does not imply compatibility.

What a non-inverting op-amp stage means

In a conventional voltage-feedback non-inverting stage, the signal enters the non-inverting input, and a feedback divider establishes the nominal closed-loop voltage gain, commonly 1 + Rf/Rg for an idealized linear circuit. A unity-gain follower is the special case with direct negative feedback, but only when the chosen device is stable at unity gain. Real gain, bandwidth, noise, input common-mode capability, output swing and stability depend on the actual IC, feedback parts, PCB layout, supply rails, source impedance and load. Some boards can be configured for inverting, follower or cascaded operation; their listing in this collection does not certify that the shipped assembly is already set for the non-inverting mode you need. Current-feedback amplifiers such as the OPA691-based offer require the manufacturer's recommended feedback-resistor network; the simple voltage-feedback gain equation alone is not a sufficient design recipe.

Small-signal boards: THS4001, OPA691 and adjustable modules

THS4001-labeled high-speed evaluation boards appear with “single way” versus “two way” and single-channel versus dual-channel module variants. Determine whether this describes one or two assembled signal paths, the actually fitted chips, the connector layout and the selected supply requirements. A title claiming 270 MHz bandwidth or fast settling may quote chip-level performance at a particular test gain and load, not validated bandwidth of an arbitrary assembled board. Inspect feedback topology, grounding, power bypassing, termination, source and load impedance, and the board's effective frequency response. A high-speed amplifier can oscillate with unsuitable feedback, capacitive loading or long cables even if it seems to work at DC.

The OPA691 listing advertises a non-inverting adjustable high-speed current-feedback stage and a 5–100× gain range. Its own description calls the core “equivalent to OPA691,” which is not proof of an authentic manufacturer die or a tested 100× broadband gain. Check the actual marking, board schematic, feedback resistor, supply, gain-bandwidth trade-off, output-current and distortion conditions. Another listing describes a two-stage non-inverting adjustable gain module at 1–10×; two stages can alter total gain, offset, headroom and noise in ways that differ from one stage. A three-input summing board offers variants “Above 1MHz” and “Below 1MHz” with DC-bias adjustment. A summing mixer is not simply a one-input follower; confirm input scaling, inter-channel interaction, bias range and the exact bandwidth version. Do not infer that a headline frequency or gain is guaranteed across every signal level and load.

Analog IC options are components, not assembled modules

Loose LM741CN DIP-8 and LM741CM SOP-8 options are single op-amp ICs requiring an external circuit, suitable supplies and feedback. They are not supplied as a tested non-inverting board. Other variants on a multi-model page offer memory devices such as W25Q64, gate drivers such as TPS2814DR and IR2103S, 24LC64 EEPROM or another amplifier model such as OPA2674IDR. Select the actual variant and pack count. A classic LM741 cannot be assumed to operate correctly from a low-voltage single rail or in a high-speed THS4001/OPA691 design. Verify the chosen IC datasheet's common-mode range, rail requirements, offset, speed and compensation before translating a circuit diagram into a parts order.

Audio power amplifier boards are a different stage

A speaker-driving Class-D board based on TPA3116D2, TPA3118, TPA3110 or PAM8403 is a power amplifier assembly rather than a small-signal non-inverting op-amp teaching module. This collection includes mono boards, two-channel stereo 2.0 boards and 2.1 configurations with a separate subwoofer output. A mono 100 W headline does not mean stereo output; “2 × 50 W” refers to two power channels under unstated conditions rather than a universal continuous rating. Compare the selected supply voltage, speaker impedance, heat removal, efficiency and distortion measurement conditions before sizing a system. Speaker-level outputs on many bridge-tied Class-D designs must not be treated as ground-referenced line outputs. Use the board's own connector and speaker documentation rather than generic op-amp wiring.

Variants matter: a T50H option is described as using TPA3116D2 while the T50L listing says it uses another chip. YS-MT21 pages offer chamfered versus square board versions or different YS-MT21, YS-502MT and YS-TB21 models. ZK-502L-related options include 502L, 502C, 1002, 1002L and some versions labeled with a power adapter, not one identical board in several colors. A Nobsound mono board offers full-range (FR) versus subwoofer (SUB) variants and with/without a power supply. XY-1001W “A/B/C” options require inspection of the product's actual package contents. Choose channel topology, filtering behavior and included power source deliberately rather than assuming every item includes a supply, Bluetooth, USB sound card or TWS pairing.

Separate signal input from speaker output and source format

Bluetooth, AUX analog input, USB playback, USB audio and I2S digital input are distinct interfaces. A MAX98357A board is an I2S-to-speaker Class-D module; it is not an analog non-inverting op amp and needs a compatible digital audio source. “Welding small chips,” “Welding of bigchips,” “2S Large Chip” and “2S Small chip” are assembly or variant labels whose fitted state must be checked. A KZ AM02 USB-C-to-3.5-mm headphone decoder/amp depends on a compatible host digital interface and headphones rather than speaker-load power. A Douk T14-EQ MM/MC phono preamp applies cartridge-specific equalization and line/headphone output behavior; its listing says the 5 V adapter is not included and warns that plugging into the headphone port takes priority over RCA output. It cannot be judged simply by the gain of a generic non-inverting op-amp circuit.

Other physical products in this selection

A 2SC5200/2SA1943 mono audio power board is a transistor output-stage assembly with its own rails, heatsink and speaker-protection considerations. A four-channel car audio unit advertised at “8800W” is a finished device; the headline is not a verified continuous output rating under a specified supply, impedance and distortion. A 4700 µF/35 V bridge-rectifier/filter board provides unregulated DC conditioning, not voltage amplification; an AC-input 350 W switching supply offers selectable DC-output voltage variants and is not a signal amplifier. Mains-input power supplies and high-energy amplifier stages require product-specific safety engineering. A 700 MHz–2.4 GHz RF power-amplifier listing requires controlled impedance, RF connectors, antenna/load and power handling, not speaker wiring or audio gain assumptions. These products remain in the series; their presence must not be read as evidence they implement a non-inverting small-signal stage.

Engineer a meaningful comparison

  1. Choose the system role first: voltage signal conditioning, multi-input summing, wideband RF gain, phono/headphone output, speaker drive or power delivery.
  2. For signal modules, determine fitted IC and feedback configuration; compare input common-mode limits, supply rails, gain setting, source/load impedance, bandwidth, slew rate, noise and output headroom at the intended operating point.
  3. For audio boards, match mono/2.0/2.1 channel count, input format, actual selected chipset, supply and adapter inclusion, load impedance, heat sinking and speaker connector topology.
  4. For RF products, confirm specified frequency range, impedance matching, gain at the test frequency, compression point and proper RF load before power-up.
  5. Read every model, assembly and quantity option: a variant's “single/two way,” “Above/Below 1MHz,” FR/SUB or T50L/T50H text changes what is offered.
  6. Check whether an IC is loose, a board is populated, a kit needs soldering, a device is finished, and whether any claimed certification or performance has documentary evidence for that selected unit.

Frequently asked questions

Does every product here have a non-inverting input? No. Many are speaker amplifiers, power supplies, RF stages, digital decoder boards or loose ICs. Only certain configured small-signal boards match that topology.

Can I assume a THS4001 board achieves the bandwidth in its headline? No. Frequency response depends on the assembled configuration, selected gain, layout, cables and load.

Is a current-feedback OPA691 module set by 1 + Rf/Rg alone? No. Check the recommended feedback resistor, gain-dependent stability and the actual board documentation.

Does 2.1 mean two channels plus a free-standing amplifier IC? No. It denotes left/right speaker outputs and a subwoofer power channel in a board designed for that use.

Does a 100 W title certify continuous speaker power? No. Ask for supply, impedance, distortion, thermal and measurement conditions for the selected model.

Are Bluetooth, USB sound card and I2S interchangeable inputs? No. They require different source interfaces and board implementations.

Is an amplifier power-supply board itself a non-inverting amplifier? No. It provides electrical power; it does not perform the signal-gain function.
